that about sums it up. I would reccomend:

The princess breakfast in the castle
Buzz Light Year and Pooh (in fact any of the ride)
if the kids haven't been there before give them a map and/or some information and see what they like to do. Since disney is well disney, kids and adults can do everything.

That was so helpful!

He is right though...everything there will really be enjoyed by everyone. You also didn't give a specific age group. You said kids and teenagers. The teenagers will like Space Mountain but not Small World. The younger kids will like Small World but not Space mountain. For the question you asked, EVERYTHING is really the best answer.

I dunno. I know some pretty small kids that love the coasters.

Disney4648, please give us a bit more specifics. Otherwise "EVERYTHING" is about as thorough of an answer that we all can give.

Are you looking for recommended rides, shows, side adventures, resorts to visit, restaurants? And if the answer is "all of the above," then give us some details about these kids of yours and their respective likes and dislikes.

Re Kids

WDW is for kids - its just that some kids are as young as 1 or 2 and aged up to like 45 - 50. We're all kids at heart in WDW :p :king: :sohappy:

Have them do something they haven't done before like goofygolf or disneyquest. Rent a boat or visit the disney speedway. Take a tour of a park or see Cirque?? The choice is theirs.

I am looking for some non-theme park activites that Kids age 7-18 can visit. Such as Downtown Disney. If you have a suggestion, can you please describe what the thing is and why the kids would enjoy the acvivity.

Thank You.

At Fort Wilderness they also have the petting zoo and horseback riding. Also Disney movies at night.
As far as dining outside the parks my 3 kids love:
Rainforest Cafe (at Animal Kingdom or Downtown)
Golf is good at either location (mini golf that is)
Any character meal outside the parks is good. Some locations are at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, etc. Fun themed dinners are at the Polynesian - hula hoop contests and coconut rolling with broom races and the Wilderness Lodge - stick horse races etc.
Also you could look into a fishing trip or renting water mouse boats. A free idea would be to observe the fireworks and electric water paegent parade from the Polynesian beach.
You really have alot of options. Just decide, get a good plan and have fun. Disney Quest is awesome but does require admission. Enjoy

Go to Ohana for dinner one night. Everyone will love it. And if you can, try to get there on a night where they are having MK fireworks (you get a perfect view from the restaurant and they play the music).

Try to get Watermouse boats. Even though each boat can hold two people though try to see if everyone can get their own (they go slow with two people).

Disney Quest is great, and is included with the unlimited hopper pass. I don't know if it is worth the money at the door, but it's alot of fun if it's included.:)

There are also the water parks (not sure if you'd qualify them as theme parks or not). They are also included in unlimited hopper passes. Travel Channel rates Blizzard Beach as one of the top 10 water parks in the U.S. as far as overall water thrills, variety of attractions, etc.

Also Cirque du Soleil (if you can afford it) is absolutely awesome--it's like ballet, circus, and Dr. Suess rolled into one. No animal acts, all acrobats of every ilk imaginable.

I also think checking out/touring any WDW deluxe hotel can also be a fun and $$$-free side adventure. The grounds and public areas at these places are quite beautiful and very detailed.

There are also quite a few Dinner Shows outside but very near to WDW--Medieval Times, Arabian Nights, a gangster themed one, a pirate themed one, and I think even a murder mysery one. Does outside of the "World" count?

Ooops! Also forgot House of Blues (can't believe I forgot it when my friend works there!:brick: It's also an interesting place to check out. Food is pretty good. They do a great Gospel brunch on Sundays.

And in that vein, there's also a bunch of restaurants in the Downtown Disney/Lake Buena Vista area--Benihana and Planet Hollywood work well for families like yours. Lots of distracting entertainment to go along with decent food.

YES!! Go see the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue at Pioneer Hall! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

All you can drink soda, coffee, wine, beer, sangria (i've seen people walk in sober and walk out drunk --especially at the late showing), tasty fried chicken, succulent ribs, corn, baked beans, and for dessert..... thats a surprise... ;) You have to watch the show to find out what the dessert is :)

Ah ha, now we're cookin' on gas.

At DTD you can spend a great time just exploring the shops, there are so many. They only worry is if you then start buying, cos then it can get a little expensive because there is just so much great stuff!!!

Also, if you're at a resort that has them then I recommend hiring a boat and spending an hour on the river. When we stayed at POR we hird a 4 seater and went from the resort to DTD and back again, takes about an hour and it's a lovely jaunt.

Water parks are a nice way to sped a day.

There's the mini-gold, next to Blizzard Beach I think it is.

Character Meals.

Chef Mickey's, Donalds Restaurantausarus Breakfast, The Hoop-De-Doo or Mickeys BBQ (Both at FW)

I've never yet been to DisenyQuest, but I hear great stories.

Also if you want some thing free to do go to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. You can go to the public viewing areas and check out all the neat animals up close and personal. You can go into the gift shop and check out the neat african crafts. If you time it right you can see a craftsman at work or maybe even hear the african story teller. You can try some interesting tasting african food at the Mara. Have fun whatever you do.
