Disneyworld alone..

Hi everyone!

I am new to this board and wanted to ask all you disney lovers about travelling to Disneyworld Florida alone. I'm from the UK and have never been before, I'm only 19 and because of an unfortunate situation the person I was going with can no longer come, everything was already booked, and I currently have nobody else to go with due to prices of flights etc. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice about travelling to a Disneyworld on my own as well as it being my first time there! I don't want to pull out as the flight etc is non refundable and I paid a lot of money towards it. Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance :)

don't be afraid to talk to people around you either. If you wait for a parade, a bus or are waiting for a dining reservation don't be shy about striking up a conversation we have met some of the nicest people that way. Also, don't be shy about asking the photopass photographers to take your picture with your own camera....lots of people do this and the CM's will happily oblige.

Just curious....how long will you be at WDW?

Thanks for your help.

I'll be there for 9 days, 2 days of which will be travelling. So I have a whole week to spend in the parks!

you are welcome. Another thing that came to mind is you might spend some time hanging out in the UK pavilion in Epcot. My brother in law is a transplant American....he moved here in his thirties...born and raised on Jersey Channel Island. So he always gets a kick out of 'reconnecting' with his homeland by talking to people who are visiting the US from the UK. Just an idea. Have fun and enjoy your trip!

Never been alone. Only as a couple or in a group. But you get to move at your own pace and you get to enjoy single rider lines (literally a severely short wait time, so be thrilled!)

My girlfriend and I ran single rider on Everest last time a few times and made a couple friends that way, walked around and talked a bit. If you stumble into a couple people who are friends they may take you along for some fun.

Plenty of dining options if you don't want to sit down at a restaurant alone, so nothing awkward.

You'll love it. If there's a party of three you can end up the fourth in a queue so it's a good time. Have a blast!
