These characters are coordinated with DCA’s Avengers Campus, ensuring that day-to-day there is no character overlap between parks.
I agree as this land unlocks inner fanboy, too!My inner fanboy has officially been unlocked due to this land. Great job!
Are they all you can eat?Churros come filled with gooey marshmallow and coated in brownie bits.
Already giving us stuff to look forward to in 2021!Now with the basic framework of Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet established, let’s explore each of those Act in greater detail. This ride through will provide overviews for over a dozen randomized setpieces.
ACT I (Battle Against the Chitauri)
As stated, there are four variations of Act I, each following a different Avenger in battle aboard the Helicarrier, each concluding with banishment through a rip in time & space. Each Act I variation reflects the personality and talents of its featured Avenger.

Act I, 1 - Iron Man
Like all Act I variations, the Iron Man segment sees the invading Chitauri army loading up a “transport” Leviathan space monster with weaponry stolen from the Helicarrier. Thanos circa 2018 (six years into the ride’s future) eventually arrives via Space Stone portal, seeking the Scepter. While here we follow Iron Man’s movements, we can see other Avengers - and other ride vehicle life rafts - engaged in a parallel adventure. The same holds true for the Captain America, Thor and Hulk segments.
The Iron Man experience sees riders high up in the clouds with Tony Stark in his Mark 45 armor, engaged in an aerial dogfight against Chitauri. An errant Chitauri blast sends our life raft tumbling downwards, straight towards a massive Helicarrier turbine...which Iron Man disables in the final second! Life rafts then regain flight as they face down an armada of Chitauri commanding S.H.I.E.L.D. fighter planes while Thanos uses the Power Stone to sling pieces of Helicarrier shrapnel at riders.
Iron Man hits Thanos’ Gauntlet with a pulse repulsor blast, loosening all six Infinity Stones, and creating the portals to Act II.

Act I, 2 - Captain America
In the Captain America version of Act I, our flying life raft is swiftly struck by a Chitauri grenade and sent hurtling backwards into the Helicarrier’s hangar interior. This keeps riders within Captain America’s Earth-bound perspective, as he battles Chitauri foot soldiers within the Helicarrier’s bowels, all with liberal use of his vibranium shield.
Eventually the Helicarrier teeters to one side as it sustains heavy artillery damage. In its lilt, our life raft slides out of the open hangar bay and enters into an aerial freefall! Infinity Stone portals manifest below. Cap dives alongside us - without a parachute, natch - as he uses his shield to strike Thanos’ Gauntlet and loosen the Stones. Cap escapes our portal fate in the final second with a surprise assist from Sam Wilson in his Falcon wingsuit.

Act I, 3 - Thor
The life raft assigned to Thor follows him flying high up into Earth’s upper atmosphere, where the mighty God of Thunder engages a huge Chitauri aerial battleship. Several flying Leviathan converge. Thor creates a fearsome lightning maelstrom with Mjolnir, commanding a wild swirl of weather elements to astound riders.
Soon Thanos makes his grand appearance to battle Thor, bedeviling the Asgardian with a flurry of teleportation attacks. Thor finally gets the upper hand, snagging Thanos’ arm with one hand while he pounds the Gauntlet with Mjolnir. Stones fly, lightning sizzles, and riders launch through a portal!

Act I, 4 - Hulk
The Incredible Hulk rides into battle atop the Quinjet exterior, flanked by a fleet of S.H.I.E.L.D. fighter jets. Black Widow leads the squadron, piloting the Quinjet. Our team faces down dozens of Chitauri Chariots, all led by the Other...the mysterious Chitauri herald seen in The Avengers.
As the skyborne battle commences, Hulk grabs Chariots like insects and throws them into other Chitauri. Never the most considerate ally, Hulk even grabs our life raft and throws us at the enemy! The melee grows more desperate as Thanos arrives and uses his Infinity Gauntlet to conjure flaming space moons, and to summon an interdimensional Abilisk beast (seen in Vol. 2) to attack Hulk. Hulk is too powerful, of course, and he flings the Abilisk straight into Thanos...loosening the Stones, creating the portals.
A rather brief day? New Year's Day will bring the epic & massive Act II, which will totally make up for that! Happy New Year, everybody!

You people need to have more focus. To avoid any logical issues, this land isn’t technically set in the MCU, but rather in a parallel universe known as Earth-2719 - named for Disney Studios’ original Hyperion street address. In this timeline, S.K.Y. and S.H.I.E.L.D. coexist; William Diesel and Howard Stark shared inventions. The offerings of Avengers Airspace complement the Marvel attractions coming to Disney California Adventure (based on information available), highlighting different heroes and different experiences.
