Hi I posted these questions in the Disney tourist blog comments but got no reply. Can someone please tell me if my elderly parents arrived at Disneysea around 5pm on a weekday would there still be premier access pass available to shorten their line time at Soaring? I think they were also hoping to ride Sinbad, the gondolas and either the railroad or steamers before close.

Also, is the Journey to the Center of the Earth ride any more "traumatic" than Indy or is it a similar "bumpy" dark ride with minimal g-forces? I know my dad is interested but his only compare is the latter in Anaheim. Thank you for your reply.

Almost assuredly no to Premier Access. It usually sells out. I don't know if I would bother with Soaring if they have access to a domestic park.

Journey uses the same system as Radiator Spring Racers. It's somewhat more intense than that, but less jerky than Indy.

I'll be honest I don't think it's worth their time heading all the wait out to Maihama to go to DisneySea for a few hours. I assume they are visiting Tokyo? Why are they trying to go at 5PM?

They probably aren't even accounting for transit time and the walk or Monorail time correctly. Now we are looking at a 6/6:30 actual entrance into the parks and it will likely close at 9.

Hey thanks for the reply. Its about a half hour car ride from their hotel and they already have plans earlier in the day. Riding four rides and seeing the lights at night is worth their time. A nightcap if you will. Thanks again for the help regarding the pass I appreciate it and info on Journey

To echo what Brian said, 75% of Journey is tame and smooth, but the final upward spiral and drop taken at a high speed can be somewhat jarring and has a bit of aggression to it. Not exactly a smooth drop after acceleration and not as smooth as a roller coaster drop. However, IMO it's the best ride in the park and DisneySea is definitely worth seeing after dark.

Though the ride is the same for Soarin' as WDW, the different show building, artwork, and pre-show make it worth doing, IMO. If they don't mind the long line.

Sinbad won't have a line and the gondola's won't be bad (though they will shut down around the time of the show).

Indy is better and not a rough as DL but rougher than most elder probably would enjoy. Tower is tamer than any other tower out there and I second whomever said skip soarin. Just did it a few weeks ago for the second time and while the preshow is cute, it's not worth the wait for the same ride we have. The only other difference is the ending over Tokyo Bay and then the Parks.

Sinbad is a must, imo and never has a wait. Just walking around and enjoying the sites could be worth it at that time a night. Remember to buy your tickets ahead of time as they don't sell on site anymore.

Thank you again I think Soaring is still a must for the group despite the wait because it is such an uplifting great ride to begin with and I personally would like to see the Mount Fuji part. I think Sinbad and snack to follow and then Indy and a ride on the transit steamer and or gondolas if time. Maybe my dad can be coaxed onto Journey somewhere within that window as well.

I loved the gondola ride, not everything needs to be a huge ride to be fun. Check where the transit steamer goes as different times it runs different routes. I loved the route through mysterious island for the different views you get.

The Disneysea electric railway and the aquatopia are also fun smaller experiences.

If it helps with your Dad my 75 year old mother loves Journey!

Absolutely yes transit steamer is a must. I was hoping to pick it up outside Indy and travel to Mysterious Island too. I will have to do some digging regarding the differing routes so thank you for alerting me to this. Happy Wednesday to all. I wish I was in Disneyland right now.

The routes change through the day, or did when I was there. Its a really nice ride at night as well. Last time we were there in 2019 we took the steamer from Arabian coast to Mediterranean harbour when we left the park, it was a nice way to end our trip

What is the best play for extra rides post nighttime spectacular? The show starts at 8pm and the park "closes" at 9pm (but in actuality you can remain on the premises till 10pm?). As I understand it there is a cutoff time and you cannot get in line for select rides directly before close? I'm guessing there is still time to at least ride Sinbad again following Sea of Dreams? What about immediately getting in line for Journey again and then possibly being able to ride Sinbad before close as well?

Also is the TR lounge still accessible after 9pm or is everyone booted from the building (ship) at 9pm? Thanks for the help everyone

I’ve not been since 2019 but then the park emptied out after the nighttime show. We used to loop round and do a final few rides in a nice quiet park, it was one of my favourite times in the park. We normally did sindbad and maybe Indy, Journey or Raging Spirits - the steamer through mysterious island at night is fun as well.

If you’re leaving and want to visit the Miracosta you can use the exit direct into the hotel from the park (by the bakery) then take the walkway from the hotel to the monorail station. If you’re not staying at the resort make sure you check times to make sure you don’t miss your train

We did Journey one night, tried to do Indy but they had cut the line, and then took the steamer boat from the back to the front of the park. The other night we were in the park we did Indy 4 times in a row after Sea of Dreams.

Hey everybody I really appreciate the help. If I am asking too many questions or this is not the right forum please let me know. I love helping folks so if there is a way to reciprocate also let me know. Anyhow, is it possible to purchase premier access for one ride for one person in a group and premier access for a different ride for two different people in a group at the same time? So lets say 1 person goes on BATB and the other two head to Baymax- can this be done concurrently or will the person who purchased the park tix only be able to purchase the one premier access and then wait an hr to then purchase the two access to Baymax? I apologize for these technical questions and again if I can hire a pro for an hr to bounce ideas off of please LMK haha thanks again everyone.

Hello all
I have a similar but different question about premier pass

If I am staying at the monorail Sheraton hotel:

1) when can I buy a premier pass for a ride
2) what is the price range per ride
3) is there a limit on how many per day I can buy

Thanks

Max

1) You can buy them through the app once you are in the park.
2) I think they are 1500-2500 JPY
3) You can only buy a second one once you have used the first (or 60 minutes after purchasing the first). I don't think there is an upper limit on how many you can buy aside from time limits (or wallet limits!).

The Tokyo Disney Splash Mountain is gorgeous, and I think seeing the full queue is such a unique experience. The Baymax ride you can honestly skip.

Also, please be sure to ride the Jungle Cruise at night! It has an exclusive overlay that is so awesome! Stitch's Tiki room is another thing that is so much fun as well.
