Disney's Polynesian Resort

I will be visiting WDW on May 11-15 with my son and wife and we will be staying at the Polynesian. This will be our 1st stay at this resort and therefore we dont have much info on it. I booked the Lua for dinner and also ohana. Is there anything we should now about this resort. Anything special we should not miss? Any recomendation will be greatly appreciated.

We really enjoy visiting the resort and I had a drink there last trip that was so goooodddd.

Wow, thanks for all the feedback and information. All reviews have been very positive so far, so I am sure we will have a great time. I have been able to reserve the Lua for the first nite. The reviews I have seen for this have been mixed , so I am not sure what to expect. I have reserved Ohana for breakfast but I have not been able to get a dinner adr , oh well. I have a 4 year old son that will be going with us, does anyone have any recomended must does for a small child.

O'Hana is awesome, and it's a must for dinner every trip. If you can spare a little time, be at the reservation desk at the restaurant prior to 4:30. Tell them you would like dinner if they can fit you in. We only waited for about an hour, then the seated us. I assume there is a few places set aside for walk-up's, or so it appeared.
