Disney's Magical Express

This has probably been answered about a bajillion times already, but is DME still Mears with Disney badging? This is the first time in ten years that he have not driven to WDW and I've had nothing but trouble with the DME service.

The first "package" I received from DME had baggage labels for two out of the four people in my group, and I wasn't one of them albeit my name is the name under the payment, the reservations, etc. The booklet didn't tell you had to go to the airline website to print off your tickets. Apparently, I was supposed to know this.

The second "package" I received from DME had two baggage labels for each of the four people and the flight information was wrong. Four people flying down and two people flying back. Very frustrating. On top of it all, the phone calls were not "Disney" at all passed the phone prompts. I don't want to speculate what nationality they were because I could not hear them because either they weren't speaking into the phone or they were mumbling.

Anyone else have this problem?

Yup, it's operated with Mears.

I've only used DME once, last Labor Day, and I didn't have problems with it. Of course it was just two us.

DME is run by Disney using Mears buses and drivers.

Your airline tickets have nothing to do with them. I'm guessing you booked through Disney Travel, which is a separate organization from DME

To straighten out the flight information, you can call them directly at 866-599-0951 rather than calling Disney.

This is who I called and who I had my problems with.

They should at least get you the proper number of yellow luggage tags. The rest doesn't matter, as long as you have the yellow baggage tags AND they have the correct flight info in their computer.

If the correct flight info is in their computer, and you have the yellow tags, all will match on the bar codes into the system and things will run smoothly.

When they send separate DME booklets (they've been trying to include them all in the WDW MYW package packets since January) almost half of the ones I receive say "No Flight Information entered". When we call and check, the flight info is in their computers and is correct.

All of my agents when they travel have no issue and neither do our clients as long as the info is in the computer and they have the yellow tags with the barcodes.

Don't worry.

If you don't receive yellow tags you can still use DME and even have them claim your luggage still. You just take them a description of your bag and the claim ticket the airline gives you at check in and they will get the bag for you.

Also you shouldn't receive anything about the return yellow ticket wise. They will put the return flight information on it but not send you a yellow ticket for your bags. You drop off you bags with hotel baggage the morning you leave and they keep it either until your magical express time or if you choose to do airport check in at the hotel they will just send it to the airport for you and onto your final destination.
