Disney's Hollywood Studios Touring Plan

Please speak English.

Kermitdefrog are you serious? first you offer a completely nonsensical touring plan and then you criticize whether or not someone is speaking english? maybe that does not look like english to you but then again, you also think that its a good idea to get there at park opening and wait until 11:30 am to see indiana jones.

Better Touring Plan - (Park Hours: 9am - 10pm)

[Call me old, but I prefer my touring plans in black & white.]

-Arrive at the park between 9:00am & 9:30am.

-Proceed Directly to Toy Story Midway Mania for a Fastpass.
-Ride Toy Story Midway Mania (stand-by)
-Return to the Hat if you want to catch some Disney characters

-Visit Jim Henson's Muppet-Vision 3D
-Visit Star Tours
-Have lunch either at: Backlot Express or 50s Prime Time
-Visit Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular (12:45pm-ish)

-Proceed to Rock n' Roller Coaster to get a Fastpass.
-Visit The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
-Visit Beauty & the Beast (2pm-ish)
-Grab a snack at either: Hollywood Scoops Ice Cream or Sweet Spells
-Watch Citizens of Hollywood (2:45ish)

-Watch the Block Party Bash parade. (3pm)
-Visit One Man's Dream OR Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Playground (depending on kids)
-Visit Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show (4:30-ish)
-Visit Studio Backlot Tour
-Visit Toy Story Midway Mania (Fastpass)
[Grab another snack at Hey Howdy Hey Take-Away if needed.]
-Visit The Great Movie Ride
-Visit The American Idol Experience (7pm-Finale)
-Visit The Voyage of the Little Mermaid

-Visit Rock n' Roller Coaster (Fastpass)
-Eat dinner at Sunset Ranch Market area
-Go shopping or re-ride a ride until 2nd Fantasmic.
-Watch Fantasmic.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Other Things to Consider:
-Always skip these attractions:
*Sounds Dangerous (it's either not operating or not worth it your time)
*Journey into Narnia
-On a 7pm, no Fantasmic close, skip these attractions:
*Studio Backlot Tour
*Voyage of the Little Mermaid
-Good things to do during the rain:
*The Great Movie Ride
*Beauty & The Beast
*Muppet Vision 3D
-During the busy holiday season, take into account must larger crowds, and also the added attraction of the Spectacle of Dancing Lights (a must see!).
-Fastpass is only necessary on Toy Story & Rock n' Roller Coaster. Tower of Terror's wait usually goes down during midday.
-Fastpass WILL be gone by noon on your average day, 11 on a crowded day, and 1pm on a very very light day.
-The 1st Fantasmic is ALWAYS the most crowded. Do not arrive any later than 45mins before showtime. The 2nd show will not seat until 30mins prior to show start. Do NOT wait in line prior to that. The line can extend all the way down Sunset Blvd and you will still get a seat.
-Always plan your day around the daily showings of Lights, Motors, Action!, the parade, ride closings (Backlot Tour closes early, shows done by 6pm), and finally Fantasmic, even if you do not plan to do/see any of those. These times can make your wait times less in other parts of the park.
-Finally, don't rush your visit or try to complete this entire list. Relax and have fun.

There you have it folks, not the best touring plan, but perhaps a better one to help Kermit out with all the complaints.

I hate to tell you this, but there is no way you will get a TSMM Fastpast that late in the day. If somehow you are lucky enought to do so, it will most assuredly not be for a time slot right after you do One Man''s Dream, it will be a lot closer to park closing.

Yeah no kidding, one of a few things that makes no sense! :hammer:

Would not make a good tour guide!

Maybe this is all subterfuge.

If we all followed this plan, then we'd be out of the way for him to do the exact opposite, crowd free! Lol.

This is a much more realistic and solid plan, but I do have a few issues. I must disagree about the Little Mermaid Show. I really love this attraction. The puppetry, light effects, and music are great. It's one of the things I recommend as a must see.

Be careful going to Beauty and the Beast in the rain. If the rain is blowing and hits the stage they will cancel the show or even stop it in the middle for the protection of the performers.

There are much better places to eat in DHS than the Sunset Ranch Market, it's not bad, but I'd go with The Brown Derby or Sci-Fi.

I personally would hit RnR and ToT right after getting my TSM FP, just because those will be the shortest those lines will be all day. If you get the the park right at rope drop you can get the FP and ride both thrill rides a couple of times and be on your way to the Muppets in an hour to 90 minutes depending on the crowds.

But overall a solid plan.

I always do the following (approximately):

Run to TSM, fastpass
Go to Rock n' Rollercoaster, depending on the line, ride it once or twice
Go to Tower of Terror, go on that once or twice (depending on the line)
Go to TSM, go on it.
Fast pass TSM
Great movie ride
Muppets in 3D
If time, try to get a show in
Go on TSM.
If there are still FP available, get another.

Go to lunch at Prime Time Cafe

Go on TSM (if got a FP).
FP Star Tours (although this will probably have to be done earlier in the day after the refurb)
See shows, BATB, Little Mermaid, LMA (I'm not too crazy about it now that I've seen it a few times, but for a first timer, it's definitely a must see), Indy, HISTA.

In the meantime go to Star Tours. When you're done, FP whatever you want/can.

See more shows. If you have time, go to One Man's Dream & The Magic of Disney Animation.

After all this, it's probably about dinner time. Go to dinner, see any remaining shows that you haven't seen. If your stomach can handle it (after dinner) do ToT again when it's dark.

See Fantasmic! If it happens to be going that night.

Call it a night.
