Disney's Hollywood Studios to possibly get a major revamp

I just saw that one too. Reviewtyme and Yesterworld's disney oriented vids are always good. The latter one I've watched the same vids multiple times.

As for the name, I don't think Kaleidoscope would work. It's too hard to spell and not many people even know what it is. I'd stick with Hollywood Studios, it's not perfect, but still fits the front of the park.
But it doesn't even function as a studio anymore, which is why it should be renamed.

They don't have to be working studios to fit the theming.

Most of the Disney parks are filled with things that are make believe.

Magic Kingdom isn't a real castle with a real princess living it.
Kilimanjaro at Animal Kingdom isn't a real safari.
But Magic Kingdom's castle is at least named after a "princess" (who technically isn't even a real princess, she just married into royalty), and Kilimanjaro Safaris feels like a real safari with real animals.

The Studios used to be a real studio, with real movies being made, but that died out overtime. The production of real movies was abandoned pretty early on, at least in live-action movies. The only known actual production facilities was the animation studio, which produced films like "Mulan", "Lilo and Stitch" and "Brother Bear", but even the animation exhibit abandoned real animation production in the mid-2000s.

The following video below, courtesy of Yesterworld, shows how the Backstage Studio Tour, once supposed to be the crown jewel of the Studios, waned over time until it was scrapped entirely. I think its demise is emblematic of the Studios' change in direction and the need for a new name. Watch:

im fine with the studios name. its a place to showcase disneys various studios IPs. Marvel, Pixar, Lucas Films, etc. You can also put those IPs in other parks as well, but I like the theme of a theme of a park dedicated to the various studio ips even if there no studio on the premise.

"The Incredibles" ride sounds... well incredible, but I’d really miss the twilight zone theming. It personifies what Hollywood Studios has been.

It would surely be another step in retheming the whole park.

Hey it’s better than a Twilight retheme. I wouldn’t want any angsty, glittering vampires… and Kristen Stewart.

It would be very interesting to see what scenes they would put in. Especially For when it goes off the original tracks and looks around the facility.

You could tour the facility and see each of the villains’ jail cells with them in it.

The evildoers could then breakout during your guided tour (by Edna) and try to kill you. I could definitely see Elastigirl using her incredible (I had to) abilities to stop the elevator from crashing at the end.

I think a modified pixar pier would be great at DHS, with a one-off e-ticket flume/boat/water based ride thats themed to nemo/dory/luca. SOmething like this. the yellow area is the one-off e-ticket. Instead of TSMM, there would be something with a monster inc theme perhaps...

this would be an amazing view from the ToT. Also the ferris wheel would be lined up perfect with the park courtyard entrance to the area. keep the sunset strip with the little stands and they act as a kinda breezeway between sunset and the pier. I think it'd be pretty swell, but I know some people dont like the pixar pier area in CA
But it seems like there would be no room for Toon Backlot attractions. Maybe if you take out the two small moats or a small portion of the entrance, that'd be alright.

The Incredibles SuperMax Prison

It would be pretty cool to see some new villains on the ride, like Rollergrrl, Mezmerella and Screenslaver.

You have to put Edna in the attraction, in place of Rod Serling. You could even spoof Twilight Zone, that would be hilarious Bone Daddy.

put a pixar pier in DHS with a giant e-ticket exclusive waterbased flume or boat ride themed to something pixar. It would fit so well and the mickey wheel would look iconic from the center of the park looking into the entrance of PP. But instead of a mickey mouse head put the pixar ball and make it the pixar wheel. Also take the incredicoaster theming off the CA version and rename it California Screaming and ship it to DHS. Also rename Pixar Pier in CA to Paradise pier and give FL the pixar pier signage

Could also attach this yellow shaded area to Toy Story land and create a Lincoln Log Flume Ride.

I like it, we could probably get a better nighttime show out of it too. “World of Color” would be a welcome addition over "Fantasmic".

I just thought of something. They could then use the fantasmic land for something else. Roger Rabbit and Maroon Studios immediately came to mind.

Yeah, Maroon Studios aka Roger Rabbit's Hollywood will be awesome with attractions such as Benny the Cab: Escape from Toon Patrol, Toontown Transit, Toon Coaster (based on RollerCoaster Rabbit) and Baby Herman's Runaway Baby Buggy Ride.

Isn’t it weird? Pixar does seem to fit with Hollywood Studios way more than Magic Kingdom.

I think it is because Magic Kingdom is patterned after Disneyland, which focused mainly on classic cartoons and original attractions with animatronics.

Yeppity deputy,

There are only 2 Pixar attractions (that are not meet & greets) currently in MK that actually fit. Buzz Lightyear and even a few scenes in Philarmagic are fine. But Monsters Inc shouldn’t be in MK, especially Tomorrowland.
