The World you have entered was created by The Walt Disney Company and is dedicated to Hollywood - not a place on a map, but a state of mind that exists wherever people dream and wonder and imagine, a place where illusion and reality are fused by technological magic.
We welcome you to a Hollywood that never was - and always will be.
- Michael Eisner, May 1st, 1989

On May 1st 2019 Disney's Hollywood Studios celebrates its 30th Anniversary, and for this anniversary Disney will open the highly anticipated Galaxy's Edge along with Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway and The Wonderful World of Animation. However what if more was done not only for this momentous occasion, but for the longevity of the park. What if the park became a true celebration of films and Hollywood. Journey through my version of the park's future as we go over what would happen in in my ideal timeline. Trust me when I say there'll be spectacle, there'll be fantasy, there'll be derring do, and stuff like you would never see at Disney's Hollywood Studios!

With Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge being a massive success, Hollywood Studios saw crowds constantly driving the park to near shutdowns due to overcrowding. This sparked a new drive for expansion to allow for more capacity within the park, and new attractions to draw crowds away from Galaxy's Edge. The multiyear plan began on May 1st, a few months prior with the announcement of two new sections of the park.

The Chinatown District is a new land that allows for the Studios park to move away from the Studios theme. This new land will be housed in the area that makes up Commissary Lane, and will feature a new quick service restaurant along with new exteriors for Red Carpet Dreams and Sci-Fi Dine-In. The Chinatown District will blend in with the Chinese Theater while also representing a different part of Los Angeles not yet seen.

Monstropolis will be a new subarea located within the current space of Pixar Place. A new Monsters Inc dark ride will utilize the current space along with empty space left over from the conversion of the Great Movie Ride to Runaway Railway, and the rerouting of Toy Story Mania's queue. Also located within this subarea will be anew counter service restaurant and meet and greet.

Debuting on May 1st in celebration of Disney's Hollywood Studios 30th Anniversary was a relocated Muppet Mobile Labs, and a new show housed in the windows above the Grand Arts Theatre called, The Muppets present...Great Moments in American Film. Both new entertainment options further flesh out Grand Avenue, and give those waiting in line for Galaxy's Edge a distraction.

In the Fall of 2019 Red Carpet Dreams and Sci-Fi Dine-In are moved into the Grand Avenue section of the park. A new meet and greet with the Toy Story character Bo Peep, based on her appearance in Toy Story 4, is added by Alien Swirling Saucers. Pixar Place closes in November, and Animation Courtyard is given the name Animation Avenue.

Muppet Mobile Labs
10 AM to 6 PM

Throughout the day Muppet Mobile Labs will come out from Backstage, and head towards Grand Park. Here within in Grand Park guests may partake in Dr Bunsen Hondew's various experiments that cause many to question just how scientific these experiments really are. Depending on the crowd levels Muppet Mobile Labs may perform another show near the outside seating of Baseline Taphouse.

The Muppets present...Great Moments in American Film
Showtimes: 11:15 AM, 12:30 PM, 1:05 PM, 1:35 PM, 2:15 PM, 3:00 PM, 3:35 PM, 4:15 PM, 4:50 PM, 5:30 PM

The Muppets present...Great Moments in American Film will be similar to the live Muppet show at the Magic Kingdom, and run for 8 minutes each showing. The Muppets present...Great Moments in American Film will feature various segments either singing or recreating an iconic scene with a Muppets twist. The films that will be recreated include Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Mary Poppins, Sound of Music, A New Hope, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Titanic, and The Greatest Showman.

Each show will contain an opening hosted by Sam the Eagle with a speech about the wonders of American film followed by him announcing a shot by shot remake of the nearly 4 hour long American classic, Gone with the Wind. This is followed by Kermit informing Sam that they only have 10 minutes to recreate some of Hollywood's most iconic films. This leads into three segments from a film above, and a closing number based on a reworked version of Great Moments in History. Sam the Eagle leaves the show in tears believing the Muppets have finally done something tastefully.

Scenes possible:
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' Heigh Ho/Whistle While You Work - Gonzo, Fozzie, Chickens, Miss Piggy
Mary Poppins' Supercalifragiexpialidocious - Miss Piggy, Kermit, Gonzo, Fozzie, Chickens
Sound of Music's Do Re Mi - Miss Piggy, Chickens
A New Hope's Blockade Runner Scene - Stromchickens, Darth Nader, Princess Piggy
A New Hope's Rescue - Stromchickens, Darth Nader, Ben Fozzibi, Luke Frogwalker, Princess Piggy

As Galaxy's Edge continue to bring crowds Disney realizes that major improvements to capacity and theming is needed to absorb crowds from the highly popular Galaxy's Edge. This realization spawns a new drive to update or change out many of the older shows housed within the park along with the continued removal of studio backlot theme. This de-studio-lization is seen with the closure of Commissary Lane in January as work begins to transform this area into the Chinatown District which will house two restaurants, a meet and greet, and an acrobatic performance once completed. Following this closure was the removal of the studio archway at Animation Avenue to open up the former courtyard.

In January Star Wars: Path of the Jedi closed its doors as Disney readied to open the Preview Center in February. The Preview Center will house film showcases for Disney's upcoming films and shows. Towards the beginning of March Mike and Sulley left One Man's Dream, and were replaced with the protagonists from Disney*Pixar's Onward. Additionally in March, the March of the First Order was relocated to Galaxy's Edge as Disney begins to consolidate Star Wars into one location.

Expanding on plans announced for the 30th Anniversary Celebration at the year prior; Roundup Rodeo BBQ, an upcoming Table Service, will be accompanied by Bo Peep's Critter Carousel. These two new additions will require the rerouting of Toy Story Mania's queue along with the relocation of Woody and Jessie's meet and greet due to construction. These additions to the land are expected to be completed in time for the Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary with construction beginning immediately.

Preview Center

sounds_defunct2012ww.jpg

The Preview Center is the same theater as Star Wars: The Path of the Jedi, and the only change is that the screen will be improved to allow 3D functionality to allow for the best possible film preview center on the resort. Upcoming movie posters line the queue's walls to promote various films being released rather it be theatrically or streaming. The interior of the theater will remain exactly the same. The exit lobby will see the most changes out of the whole theater. The various sound booths left over from the era of Sounds Dangerous will be gutted, and be utilized as a showcase of props and costumes from various upcoming movies. Models, concept art, cardboard displays, and posters will decorate the remainder of the exit room to promote upcoming movies with a focus on what was being previewed.

This attraction was created to encourage guests to visit this theater which will receive more foot traffic than Walt Disney Presents would given Galaxy's Edge's opening. This new preview center will also allow other buildings to be freed as it becomes the official home of film previews.

Debuting Preview Lineup
February 1st to March 8th: Pixar's Onward
March 9th to April 1st: Disney's Mulan
April 2nd to June 9th: Conversion to 3D
June 10th to July 6th: Fox's Free Guy
July 8th to July 28th: Disney's The Jungle Cruise
July 28th to September 17th: Disney+ Showcase
September 18th to October 7th: Fox's Death on the Nile
October 14th to November 9th: Fox's Ron's Gone Wrong

Sorry for the posts drying up, but to prove this project is not dead here are some stills from a project I'm attempting utilizing software I'm unfamiliar with. Please bare with me as I experiment to bring y'all the best possible product. As promised before the stills:

Tet 2.png

Vader3.png

Ice2b.png

I know it's not much, but I'm quite proud.
The program I used to create the images was Microsoft Paint for the recreation of the much more simplified Chinese Theater and surrounding buildings.
The program for the Vader and red 'strobe lights' was paint.net which was recommended I believe to me by veteran armchair imagineer @spacemt354 eons ago in a time long forgotten.

Stay tuned as I progress to bring y'all the best possible product a single person can bring you.

Side Note: So this product isn't as polished as I would like, but it has been done for a while. The only aspect missing is a video mockup of a new night show which is still in production, and I hope to have it up and running by the end of this project of mine.

Hollywood Studios was bustling with activity in January, all geared towards celebrating the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World. Voyage of the Little Mermaid ended its run, and to offset a temporary meet and greet with Ariel and Eric remained open until October. Star Wars Launch Bay closed its doors the same day as Voyage of the Little Mermaid as destruction of the left side of the Launch Bay. All meet and greets within the Launch Bay were relocated to Galaxy's Edge.

On the other side of the park there was plenty of activity as well in the months of January. Red Carpet Dreams closed for refurbishment as it gains theming to match the upcoming Chinatown District. This forced Mickey and Minnie to host temporary meet and greets housed in the overflow queue of Muppet Vision in Grand Avenue. Sci-Fi Dine In's exterior was covered in a construction scrim as work began to rework the exterior into the upcoming Chinatown District, but during this time the restaurant will remain.

Finally in Sunset Boulevard, The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror ceased operation as crews converted the iconic ride into the Tower of Terror; dropping the Twilight Zone theming. Across the park at Echo Lake the lake was drained as a giant mist screen similar to that of Fantasmic! was installed to allow for more capacity for the shows typically held on the Chinese Theater. Paths were widened along the lake removing some greenery in the land to allow for more viewing areas for the show. Speakers, lasers, spotlights, and fake snow and fire emitters were added throughout the land as well to allow similar viewing experiences when it comes to effects for shows. This project was completed in time for the 50th.

On October 1st a slew of new and returning offerings opened in celebration of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary. The first new offering is the opening of Monstropolis in Animation Avenue which features Mike and Sulley: To the Rescue!, Harryhausen's To-Go, and a new meet and greet featuring Mike and Sulley. The Chinatown District opened signaling Disney's further movement away from the studio theme. With the opening of the Chinatown District comes Chinatown Delicacies, a new quick service, The Joyful Cricket Acrobats, a new entertainment offering, and the exterior rethemes of Red Carpet Dreams and Sci-Fi Dine In. In celebration of Moana's 5th Anniversary, a whole new show debuted at the Animation Theatre. The Legend of Moana utilizes many of the effects previously used by The Voyage of the Little Mermaid to retell the story of Moana.

To cap off the 50th Celebration a whole new nighttime spectacular debuted on the Chinese Theater, Hooray for Hollywood: A Cinematic Celebration. This new show replaces both The World of Animation and Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular while allowing for more access thanks in part due to the expanded viewing on Echo Lake. The show is a celebration of both Old and New Hollywood films, and integrates films throughout the entire Disney library including the likes of Mary Poppins, Indiana Jones, Alien, Bohemian Rhapsody, Braveheart, and of course Star Wars among others. The show will be able to incorporate roughly 100 films into a celebration of film.

On the left building the Pixar Opening is shown, on the left wall of the Chinese Theater is Lucasfilm, in the center of the Chinese Theater the Disney logo, on the right wall of the Chinese Theater the Jim Henson logo is shown, and on the right building there is the 20th Century Fox Logo. When the song, When You Wish Upon A Star, ends a shooting star crosses over all the logos, and turn the buildings to black.

Score - The Greatest Show / Step in Time / Sound of Music

PT Barnum's silhouette appears on the Chinese Theater.

PT: Ladies and gents this is the moment you waited for.

PT turns around his face in shadows, but his coat shining through. Spotlights swirl around, and focus centers on PT as he waves his staff revealing the entire circus around him. The various freaks dance around to the music. The spotlights spin around transforming the scene into the Moulin Rouge.

Can Can dancers guided by Zidler bust out of the Moulin Rouge. The dancers flip around their skirts as gentlemen appear on the left and right buildings. These gentlemen continuously march along waving their hands and canes.

Zidler: The Can Can!

The crowds disappear as the frills of dresses swirl around . The action turns back towards the Chinese Theater as the Can Can scene is recreated on the facade. Dozen of girls twirl around kicking their legs up shifting their dresses. The dancers all stop to do a split, and black smoke immediately flies up from their skirts. Chimneys and the rest of London begins to pop up rising past the can can dancers that formerly inhabited the Chinese Theater. Chimney sweeps and Mary Poppins pop out of the various chimneys as they dance on the rooftops of London.

Newsie: Extra! Extra! Newsboys on strike!

The Newsies come jumping out from the smoke. On the Chinese Theater the dance for Carrying the Banner is performed, and the other two buildings display dances from The World Will Know. The print can be heard churning away in the background, and the latest headline covers all the Newsies.

Villainy - The Imperial March / The Horned King / He's A Pirate

Darth Vader is heard breathing as mist begins to appear throughout the area. His silhouette slowly becomes more visible with each breath, and with each breath red lights beat. A light saber is heard turning on, and appears on the theater through the mist. Darth Vader appears, and makes a quick swipe with his lightsaber disappearing once more. The Ark of the Covenant appears, and slowly opens.

Barbossa: You best start believing in ghost stories, you're in one.

The Ark of the Covenant opens releasing the spirits within, allowing for all hell to break lose. The Cauldron Born appear flanking the Chinese Theater, walking ever closer. The ghosts and ghouls from Fantasia's Night on Bald Mountain fly around both buildings, and the Chinese Theater. Mola Ram appears with a heart in hand in the middle of a ceremony to Kali. The Emperor's cackle is heard throughout the area as blue lightning begins to shock the Chinese Theater. As the lightning continues The Emperor is revealed in a faint blue glow, still cackling. The electricity causes a blackout, and The Emperor disappears along with his electricity and cackle.

Inigo Montoya: Hello my name is Inigo Montoya, prepare to die.

416146

The Chinese Theater becomes alive with the swordfighting of Inigo Montoya as he avenges his father. With a swipe of his sword the scene is replaced by Obi Wan Kenobi fighting against Anakin Skywalker, and after their lightsabers clash the flash transitions into the next scene. The Rizzler and Sam Flynn are shown fighting within the Grid causing various sparks to flash from the crash of their discs. A disc flies by, as the disc passes by it grows spikes, and is attached to claw becoming Judge Doom's spinning saw. Judge Doom swings his saw around a couple times, hitting the ground sending sparks. Eddie Valiant reaches for a hammer nearby, and sends a boxing glove straight at Doom sending him flying into the Dip.

William Wallace: The may take our lives, but they will never take our freedom! Albu go bra!

The entire courtyard erupts into The Battle of Sterling from Braveheart, and all that can be heard are the yells of men fighting, the clanging of swords, and the roars of the canons. This scene will be altered to remove much of the blood from the original version making it more suitable for a Disney park. The scene ends with William Wallace stabbing the ground with his sword, and the whole courtyard turns black.

It quickly transitions into Bohemian Rhapsody which plays host to a montage of action and dance scenes not yet shown throughout the show such as Kingsmen, Avatar, The Muppets, Alita: Battle Angel, etc.

The Legend of Moana

Queue -

As guests approach the entrance of theater a Polynesian inspired marquee houses the title of the show being presented within, The Legend of Moana. The marquee is created of wood that is carved with various Hawaiian motifs, and the background of the letters is made of woven fibers. Above the marquee stands a figure of Moana with her paddle in her hand. On her left stands Hei Hei, and on her right sits Pua. Behind Moana is an island backdrop. In the center is Te Fiti's symbol. To the left is Tamatoa along with some Kakamoras. To the Right is Maui with his fishhook by his side.

As guests enter the queue for the theater to their left tapa cloth tapestries representing Polynesian monsters and gods cover the outside shrubbery. These tapestries will be made waterproof, and protect guests from the elements for when the Florida rain decides to come in from the side. Above guests will find ceiling fans in which the fans appear to look like flowing waves, and lanterns illuminate the way at night. Guests stop at the doors to the lobby, and the area surrounding has been converted into seaside rockwork building up as a cave entrance.

gsl-moana-019.jpg

The doors magically swing open, and guests are ushered into a seaside cave. Small canoes, lanterns, and fishing nets hang from the ceiling of the cave. Throughout the lobby there will be openings to the outside, and through a screen will depict Motunui at night.

Stats & Info -
Attraction Type: Live Show
Theme: Moana
Amount of People per Showing: 500
Duration: 17 Minutes
Viewers per Day : 11,500 - 14,500
Fastpass+ : Yes

Characters & Effects -
Moana is a face performer who will sing her own songs. She is housed on a recreation of her boat which will enter and exit the stage from the left of the stage.
Maui is an advanced audio animatronic, he is housed on a moving rock structure which in it of itself contains various effects. Within the rock structure is another moving platform which allows Maui to swing in front and behind the structure allowing for him to transform. Smoke and strobe lights are housed in the structure as well to hide when Maui swings in and out. If the animatronic can't perform then a screen is used instead.
Tamatoa is a large black light puppet in the vein of Ursula. However color changing fiber optics and LEDs will be used for his eyes and antenna to allow for color changing.
Maui's animal forms will be black light puppets similar to the various under sea creatures from the old show.
Te'Ka is a large black light puppet in the vein of Ursula as well.
The water curtain returns along with the lasers, mist, bubbles, screen, and black lights from the old show. New smoke and strobe effects have been added to the show.

Show Experience -
As guests walk into the theater Tulou Tagaloa is faintly playing in the background. The water curtain is pouring down, and the mist is being manipulated by the lasers to create what looks like waves. As all the guests are seated the water curtain opens.

Scene 1: An Innocent Warrior Montage
The first scene is An Innocent Warrior playing as a montage plays on the screen quickly going through the progression of Moana and her grandma's relationship up until her death. This montage includes Moana becoming friends with the ocean. Upon the grandma's death, Moana runs to the cave of all the boats which is when the waterfall curtain returns.

Scene 2: How Far I'll Go
Moana is on her iconic boat getting ready to sail while singing How Far I'll Go. The screen depicts the boat moving through the water, but as the song progresses the waves of the ocean get progressively rougher as storm clouds appear on the screen. As Moana finishes singing, and allows for applause lighting flashes. Fans begin to blow wind at guests, strobe lights sync up to the sounds of thunder, and Moana is begging the ocean for help as she struggles to maintain her boat. A giant wave is depicted coming for the boat as Moana makes one final scream for help from the Ocean. The curtain of water falls once more as the wave hits. During this pause the rock structure housing the Maui animatronic is brought in.

latest

Scene 3: You're Welcome
As the curtain of water rises, Maui appears proclaiming his joy for the boat. Moana awakes on the boat, and they begin there arguing. This leads to Maui performing You're Welcome with the aid of the screen to convey the part that is typically 2D, this includes when his tatoos move and what is typically displayed on the cloth in the film. As Moana is drawn in to his performance; Maui get an idea.

Maui: You know that old crab loves shiny things, I think you can be bait...

The lights darken as the screen transforms the stage into Tamatoa's lair.

Scene 4: Shiny
Moana reappears on her boat in lots of opulent golden jewelry along with a tambourine. She express his disdain while saying how shiny she is, and playing her tambourine. This draws out the giant Tamatoa puppet which segways into a shortened version of Shiny, cutting out the portion of when Maui fails at transforming and Tamatoa immediately roasts him. It ends with smoke arising from Tamatoa's side, and the scene going black as the comotion is heard from behind the water curtain of Maui getting the hook.

Scene 5: Know Who You Are
Moana appears without the jewelry on her boat, and Maui now appears with the hook by his side. Te-Ka appears from the left, and Maui begins to fight off Te-Ka as he transforms into various animals. This will be done through blacklight puppets going throughout the stage around Te-Ka. However this fighting is to no avail, until Moana holds up the Heart of Tefiti beginning Know Who You Are. The stone touches Te-Ka, and smoke and lights erupt throughout the stage. Te-Ka has disappeared, and Muai is once more himself. Tefiti is shown on the screen nodding in approval, and lays down to become an island once more.

Scene 6: We Know the Way
The rock formation has disappeared as Maui transforms into various animals, flying around. Moana stands proud on her boat wearing a flower crown, and on the screen the We Know the Way is shown. The waterfall curtain closes, ending the show.

Replacing Commissary Lane is a new area that not only makes sense geographically, but also provide Hollywood Studios with a land that adds thematic diversity to the park providing a break from the typical Hollywood theme that so many have grown accustomed too. Now I said that the Chinatown District made sense geographically, and that is because Chinatown is adjacent to Echo Park as well as being on Grand Avenue both real life locations that inspired the nearby lands. Just a fun fact I found while doing research. Now onto the land itself!

As guests enter through the entrance by the Chinese Theater they are met by a large archway spelling out Chinatown both in English and Chinese. The archway at night becomes illuminated through the use of neon. Continuing through the district guests will enter the Central Plaza, home to The Joyful Cricket Acrobats. They will perform throughout the day on a newly constructed stage adding kinetic energy to this part of the park that was sorely needing it. To differ from the Chinese acrobats in the China Pavilion at Epcot, these acrobats will have a show inspired by Mulan (1998). Also located within the plaza is some outdoor seating, and the side entrance Chinatown Delicacies.

Continuing down the main path guests will notice that above them are a series of red lanterns with golden tags strung throughout the rest of the district providing a pop of color, and interesting lighting at night. Facades have been constructed on the left side of the corridor finally hiding the soundstage theming that was prevalent in the previous land. These facades match the new facade covering Chinatown Delicacies. The roofs of all the buildings have been given new neon lighting to bring the area alive at night, and making it a must see when fully illuminated.

The remainder of the Chinatown District are the rethemed facades of the Sci-Fi Dine In, and Red Carpet Dreams both facades now matching the rest of the district. The inspiration for Sci-Fi Dine In's new facade is seen above. As guests exit the Chinatown District they pass under another Chinatown gate, a duplicate of the one from earlier, and enter the crossing of Echo Lake and Grand Avenue which now has traffic lights on each "road" adding to the idea that guests are in a city.

Chinatown Delicacies

Chinatown Delicacies is a quick service that replaces the former ABC Commissary, and allows for the park to continue moving away from the studio theme while embracing the spirit of LA. The exterior will now be made up of multiple facades of varying heights, and each division reflects the divisions within the restaurant itself.

The interior has been split into three separately themed rooms. The main entrance and ordering area will be themed around a restaurant known as The Jaded Dragon. Bamboo screens depicting various Chinese myths are kept within the room replacing the interior windows. While jade dragon statues greet guests as they enter. Self service stations are hidden behind each jade dragon and contain items such as cutery, napkins, and a variety of other items a guest may need. Nearby will be Coca Cola Freestyle Machines that offer guests a variety of drinks at their disposal. Walking up to the order area a mural depicting the legend of Hua Mulan greets guests.

The other two rooms are known as The Fireworks Factory and The Paper Place. The Fireworks Factory is the right side dining area featuring seating for all guests. The ceilings have been given new rafters, and within the rafters crates of fireworks and gunpowder are stored. Throughout the room the occasional string of firecrackers hanging from above, and on the walls are sand paintings made of 'gunpowder' encased in glass.

The Paper Place will also be given new rafters, and paper mache dragons will be strung throughout the rafters as if they are sleeping above guests. Hanging from the rafters will be paper lanterns in the shape of various animals. Ornate paper fans are hanged upon the walls, along with Chinese parchment that have been painted upon.

The Joyful Cricket Acrobats

The Joyful Cricket Acrobats will be housed on a simple stage jutting up from the ground by a couple feet. The background for the stage will be the exit area of Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, and from the wall of the exit area will hang a wall of fairy lights intertwined with red and gold silk. This wall provides for a new Instagram wall spot that has grown so popular in today's populace. The viewing area will be the surrounding path of the stage. Given the show's small nature it will not be listed on times guides within the park, but will be shown on the My Disney Experience app and site.

The Joyful Cricket Acrobats set will be inspired by Mulan. Songs from the 1998 film will be played through an instrumental piece. Here are the following acts from the show:

- Honor to Us All: Multi Plate Spinning while moving around a crowd of the other performers
- Reflection: Couples gymnastics with each person in the couple mirroring the other
- Make a Man Out of You: Chinese yo-yo jugglers while the dodge jabs from other performers
-Mulan's Decision: Kung-Fu demonstration with performers "fighting" each other while jumping around, and using sticks.

Monstropolis

monstropolis-png.390602

Housed at the corner of Animation Avenue and Toy Story Land will be a new sub area located within Animation Avenue. New facades will be installed on the current backside of the Chinese Theater transforming into an apartment complex with various changes that show the monsters living in the complex. Some examples of these changes will be different doors opening up to the balcony for the monster that lives there, goo dripping down a balcony, another monster sunbathing on the balcony. Throughout the day CDA workers will come out to survey the area, and will be able to talk to guests gauging how much fun they are having. They will communicate similar to how the Stormtroopers do currently.

The rest of the area is made up of a series of gardens. One garden houses stroller parking for that attraction. Another garden houses a meet and greet with Mike and Sulley. A different gardens houses Harryhausen's To-Go, a new counter service housed within a food truck. The seating is housed within this garden, and another smaller seating area is housed in the last garden across the counter service.

The restrooms are rethemed to be housed in the Monstropolis Taxi HR Department with new awnings installed over the walkway to provide shade. The main show building's facade will be the Monstropolis Taxi Company Headquarters: Getting you here and there, without a scare! This faux company houses Mike and Sulley: To the Rescue! On top of the show building set in the distance will be a facade of Monsters Inc which conveys that the factory is far off in the distance yet within reach.

Harryhausen's To-Go

Inspired by the restaurant from the film, Harryhausen's To-Go serves up a new compact way to serve guests food while maintaining to the theme of the land. The counter service will be housed within a food truck with a trailer being connected serving as the pick up area for the counter service. Guests will find napkins, utensils, chopsticks, paper straws, and other meal compliments within a small collection of bins house in an organizer hanging off the back of the trailer.

The design of the food truck and trailer would be very minimalistic with Harryhausen's To-Go displayed on the awning of the food truck. The food truck and trailer would both be white with pink and green stripes. The side of the ordering window would be the menu, and on the door of the food truck would be the Harryhausen's logo. Within the driver's seat of the truck Harryhausen himself is sitting on the wheel on the phone, occasionally he waves a tentacle at the guests.

Throughout the day a resupply van, themed after a food company called Monstrous Eats, will come out between the backstage entrance of Toy Story Land and Monstropolis. The resupply van will then drive up and park behind the food trailer in which cast members will give the food truck its supplies. This only happens when needed during the day.

The new Toy Story expansion sees a new carousel and table service added to the park. The table service is tucked away behind Woody, and the restaurant serves Texan BBQ staples. The table service will be called Roundup Rodeo BBQ, and will be housed within Andy's cardboard recreations of a Western town.

Across the entrance to Toy Story land in an area formerly occupied by stroller parking is the new Critter Carousel. This carousel will be a carbon copy of the Disneyland ride with a couple of cosmetic changes to tie the ride to Bo Peep, and two major exceptions. On the outside of the entrance of the attraction will be a Bo Peep statute to match that of Woody's, and they will occasionally talk with one another. At the exit of the carousel will be Billy, Goat, Gruff greeting guests departing the carousel as they continue on with their day. Both Bo Peep and her sheep appearance's will be based on their Toy Story 4 appearance.

As the 50th Anniversary continued to be celebrated resort wide many closures came in the second week of January. Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage, Star Tours: The Adventure Continues, Tatooine Traders, and Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple all closed as the holiday crowds left the resort. In conjunction with these closures two new experiences were announced to be in development for the following year based off Zootopia and Doctor Strange. Walt Disney Presents closed in late April as plans to expand the attraction into the former Launch Bay space were announced.

Towards the end of September throughout the sidewalks of Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard Disney began to install Mickeys of Fame, a spin on the Walk of Fame. Mickey heads were implanted into the ground with the name of a celebrity along with a category being present beneath their name to signify why they received a Mickey of Fame. The goal for this addition was to celebrate the movie industry that inspired the entirety of Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Mickeys of Fame

2000

Throughout Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard Mickey heads will be placed into the sidewalk to honor professionals in film and television industry from both the past and present.
