Disney's Earport shop in Orlando International Airport now closed for redesign
The airpot's second Disney location will get a new look.

Is this a Disney owned store, or just licensed?
I don’t know - I have been in that store on our way in and out dozens of times. I never thought of it as very special at all. A refresh is welcome for me.Well, it looked good while it lasted. Rest in Peace Earport. Can't wait for another terrible, ultra-modern, normie-friendly Disney store.
yes correctTo my knowledge these 2 airport locations are owned and operated by WDW (and run by their merch team).
Your not alone and especially if it hasn’t been updated in a while.I don’t know - I have been in that store on our way in and out dozens of times. I never thought of it as very special at all. A refresh is welcome for me.
I personally don’t understand the appeal. I guess if “plain white box” screams Disney to you, it makes sense.I went in this store for the first time last month and was aghast at how disgustingly OLD it felt. The lighting was dark and unwelcoming, those tacky plastic "props" scream late 1990's, and it just was not a good representation of WDW. I am thrilled to see it get similar treatment to WOD. I wish I knew who was in charge of these fantastic redesigns so I could personally thank them.
Do you think 1990s tacky is a good look for Disney ?I personally don’t understand the appeal. I guess if “plain white box” screams Disney to you, it makes sense.
Except its not plain white box. The new stores have been truly upgrades to the predecessor. But not everyone has modern aesthetic taste, it's coolI personally don’t understand the appeal. I guess if “plain white box” screams Disney to you, it makes sense.
I didn’t find it tacky, but regardless, it was still better theming than absolutely nothing, which is definitely what we are getting.Do you think 1990s tacky is a good look for Disney ?
The only one that isn’t like that is WoD, and in that case, the walls are just standard bricks. Nothing about that screams modern or interesting. It’s minimalist in a low budget way.Except its not plain white box. The new stores have been truly upgrades to the predecessor. But not everyone has modern aesthetic taste, it's cool![]()
I’d be down for a redesign if it was actually interesting. But go ahead, be a contrarian. Shout “boomer” and “dated” at everyone who doesn’t auto-praise the new designs. Contrary to popular belief, New isn’t always better.Whatever dude. Keep crying over old and ugly if it helps you sleep better at night.![]()
I agree 100% that new isn't always better. Neither is minimalist modern...I'm sure many adults love it, but to a kid it just seems like an expensive museum.I’d be down for a redesign if it was actually interesting. I dunno the "kid" likes it and says we are all living crying in the past.I agree 100% that new isn't always better. Neither is minimalist modern...I'm sure many adults love it, but to a kid it just seems like an expensive museum.
I like minimalist designs, same with modern. But I also like Disney's artsy designs, especially the older ones. I just don't feel like they are really connecting Disney artsy with minimalist modernistic.I agree 100% that new isn't always better. Mine hate that kind of styling/decor, lol. They find it boring and prefer the chaos and "loud" stylings of the older Disney stores.I dunno the "kid" likes it and says we are all living crying in the past.
