Just a few suggestions. First, vlocano instead of a mountain, you just gotta. And maybe a slow boat ride showcasing the culture, legends and that kinda thing, probally like the hawaiian version of el rio tiempo but beter.
I like that idea but there aren't really any volcanoes that are shaped like volcanoes in Hawaii. They are either flat from erosion or are underwater. Thye mountain im referring to is on Kauii and if volcano shaped but is lush and green. I think that that would look better.

True, but there aren't any talking bears in canada either. I see your point though.

OOOOOOHHHHHhhhhh, I forgot, I have D.C. too. D.C. will be the highly patriotic part of the park, like the liberty square or american adventures, but obviously not so colonial because we already have that. I forgot I had it, so I don't have much yet, but obvioulsy will have replicas of monuments and landmarks within reason and won't really take up too much space. The two major attractions will be Hall of presidents and american adventures the ride. I believe I mentioned we needed those in another post before I remembered I was in charge of dc. My bad. More will come during and after the weekend when I have more time for research.

May I suggest something similar with to the Hall of Presidents but deals with the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights? And you can call it something like "WE THE PEOPLE.." And you could have AMs of the various people who drew up those documents or to show how the bill of rights is used every day?

We the People is in my New York section as an Ellis island experience. Need a new name.

I actually love that idea, minus the name of course. We could do it like the carousel of progress. And I also love the idea about the under ground trains in chicago, I'll have to look into that.

Nemo, if you'll excuse me for being so bold as to make suggestions, I think for the shopping and restaurant portion of California, especially the Bay Area district, that you add Ghiradelli Chocolates, 'cuz they make the best chocolates ever.

Boudin bakery, they make the best sourdough

And a dim sum restaurant. Dim sum is the little dumplings with various fillings they sell in Chinatown. You could even have someone at the window making them.

I would even have a small fortune cookie store where you can see them making the cookies. I know of one in Chinatown that's in a little alley but is famous because all the tourists and locals go there for the best fortune cookies. They're still using presses from the '30s and '40s.

A branch of Jelly Belly jellybeans. They're here as well.

Oh, and maybe a Levi's store? They're based here as well. Um, on second perusal, I think my list would be better for a mall.

Excellent ideas, cherrynegra! Seeing as you come from San Fransisco, you should know what they've got there! I'll be revising the Shops and Eateries later to include your suggestions. :D

By the way everyone, I'm not gone from this project! I've been trying to get this Texas thing worked out, becoming sort of a problem I suppose. I'll try to get it up tomorrow. :)

OK project update:
CherryNegra has Alaska, and FigmentDream has Florida. Now we need Colorado and/or Arizona. Those to could be close enough to just use one. As for the Mount Ranier ride, the name is, for the time being at least, Thunder Peak. Sorry martinthesparta! I will post attraction details for New York Friday or Sunday.

I am not really sure what you would use for Arizona off hand probabley 1 or 2 desert themed attractions, for Colorado I could see a stand up coaster themed to Skiing the Rockies, I will have my section up here in a bit.

Okay here is a peliminary version of Florida if I repeat anything I can change it right now I have no idea what is in the park at the moment.

Entrance Section: Falgler Square

A sqaure themed to the archeutechture of Flagler college the namesake of whome was a railroad barron who did alot of railraod work in Florida

Then going clockwise starting at the left

St. Augenstine:

An area based after the city will have a fort stunt show, themed after a fictional battle at the one main fort in St. Augenstine I forget the name of it now, but I can look that up.

Other attraction an attraction similar to Aquitopia in TDS but themed to the Fountain of Youth

Haven't thought up names of either of these yet but I will, this is overall still a very loose sketch of the area but I thought I might get something up moving along

The Everglades:

Main attraction here Evergaldes Exploeres, a fan boat tour through an everglade environemt think Kiliminjoro Safaris, but through the everglades and on a big fan boat

Miami:

Main attraction Rock N' Roller Coaster, bear with me this one would not be staring anyone, rather the theme would be you are an up and commign rock band and you are late to your concert in Maimi so you need to race through the streets to get to the concert on time. Qeue woudl be about the same except you would walk into the soundbooth area and the manerge woudl be on the other side, same number of people (it's a big band ;) )then you move on to the ride, scenery alot more elaborate not just flat 3-D full secnes not just peices still lit by black light, there would also be headlights and front ends of cars that would pop-out along the track at you to make for a much better ride, the soundtrack would be just some general rock music then

Sandcastle Beach:

The main attractions here would be a the large Sandcastle Playground which would be a big tire ground area with a giant sand castle in the middle made out of the same material and other smaller structures around the area, this woudl be about the same size as the HIStK Playground at MGM

The other attraction here would be the Ocean Divers, this would be a ride where you board vehicales similar to the TDS 20LUTS and you go on a underwater voyage around the coast of Florida, starting in the Atlantic and then moving through the keys into the Gulf of Mexico through a mix of real and AA sea life.

Florida Keys:

This area woudl have two attractions

The Key Crusiers, this would be identical to the old Aquitopia at Disneyland you get to drive your "Yacht" around the keys and other sea like scenary

"Highway to the key", well thats not the real name but until I find out what that highway is that goes out along the water to the keys that is what is it called for idea purpuses, this woudl be a LIM coaster with a tiwst rather a than a big peak it would hit a big turn, you would shoot down the one side of the highway, hit the big turn and then come back, if I did my physics right somwhere along the turn you shoudl feel about the same zero G- feel you feel on a drop if done properly as you would have essentailly a crude centrifuge if you would also slowdown the acceleration thorugh the turn and then you come back again

PS sorry for any mis-spelings but I am tired and just don't really care at the moment
:p

ALASKA

ATTRACTIONS

GLACIER BAY EXPRESS
Ride a speedboat through a narrow river pass as your guide tries to avoid falling glaciers and icebergs in the river path

Alaskan Bush Air

See the majesty and glory of Alaska’s national wonders as you “soar” over Alaska’s natural fauna and flora.

Arctic Explorer
You’re an explorer in the Nautilus, the first submarine trying to cross the Arctic Ocean beneath the ice from Spitzbergen to Alaska by way of the North Pole. Can you and your fellow explorers avoid the perilous dangers of the deep that await you?)
I’m imagineering this would be like a mini sub with eight passengers and it’s a combination of Mission: Space and the 20K attraction.

Bering Land Bridge Center

The Bering Strait: Ride a dark ride that takes you through the history of the Bering Strait and how it played an important role in bringing early man to North America.

The Inupiat Heritage Center.

Houses exhibits, artifact collections, library, gift shop, and a traditional room where people can demonstrate and teach traditional crafts in Elders-in-Residence and Artists-in Residence programs.

ANCHORAGE SQUARE

ALASKA HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The Alaska Historical Society is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to the promotion of Alaska history by the exchange of ideas and information, the preservation and interpretation of resources, and the education of visitors about Alaska’s heritage.

RESTAURANTS
Moose's Tooth Pub And Pizza
Luxury pizza, microbrewed beer and live music. On the first Thursday of every month we have a new beer, a new band and the same ol' fun!
Humpy's Great Alaskan Ale House
Anchorage's pub scene is thriving (warming ales are popular on cold winter nights), and the new Humpy's Great Alaskan Ale House offers more of the uplifting brew, 36 beers on tap, than any other Anchorage pub. The halibut burger is a pub favorite, as is Humpy's impressive hamburger.
Sourdough Mining Company

Located in downtown Anchorage Square, the Sourdough Mining Company feels like an old mining operation, complete with rustic wood floors, high ceilings and a player piano. Meals are reasonably priced; the popular half rack of baby back ribs with corn fritters is just $14.50.
SHOPPING
Ivory Jack's Trading Company
While Ivory Jack’s now sells a large variety of unique items, part of his business focuses on selling fossilized Woolly Mammoth ivory jewelry.
