On my last 2 trips to WDW I have said to the kids that we will go to Disney Quest but never got around to it....we go back in October, should I make the effort to go this time or just fit it in if I have time ??

If any of your party are big arcade fans, then the free arcade games are worth the price of admission, not to mention the excellent CyberSpace Mountain.

I agree , if you or the kids are into games this would be the equivalent to heaven.
We were there for hours and had a blast.

I love games, I have shelves full of the things and pretty much every console made but DisneyQuest just doesn't do it for me. I'm not sure what it is because the machines are generally pretty good but I find the whole building uncomfortable. I think it's because no matter how hard I try I just can't get my bearings.

As we're from the UK we get DQ built into our tickets so we will visit once a trip but I could live without it and wouldn't pay for it.

However, the lift you use when you first enter is well worth it!

I would definitly give it a shot! I had never been till two years ago - took my nephew of 10 at the time - we both LOVED it. The 3D Pirates game is the best!

Making your own roller coaster is pretty fun too - not to mention shooting other people during the Buzz attraction was great!

It's great to see at least once - You probably won't be disappointed in going.

It depends on how crowded the attraction is.

You see, when it comes to the inverse ratio of enjoyment and crowds, it's a lot like miniature golf. There are a finite number of games (albeit a large amount), which can be a lot of fun if it's not very crowded. But when there are a lot of people there, it's like waiting for the family ahead of you to putt, and then having a family behind you anxiously waiting for you to finish the hole. That may not bother some people, but it can be annoying for others.

Playing an interactive game is a relatively 'quick' experience and, once it's over, the instinctive reaction is to want to play it again. (Or if competing against someone else; to a re-match against that person.) Etiquette dictates that you let the people waiting behind you play again before giving it another shot. This "taking turns" approach to arcade play is a bit counterintuitive (if it's crowded or the game is particularly popular).

The "virtual reality" style games are fun, but they're not as "cutting edge" as they were 10 years ago. I would not sacrifice a "better" Disney attraction for DisneyQuest, but if it's a rainy day and you have nothing better to do than shop, it's something to consider.

if its included on your tickets (ie 14 day pass to all parks etc) then its worth a visit, but dont pay extra to go init.its like a amusement arcade you would see at the seaside, but a little bit disney.

i was dissappointed, thought it was very dirty, the restaurants look like they need a good clean, full of kids running around unsupervised, and the whole layout is quite confusing.
so if its included give it a shot, for a couple of hours, if its not ,wouldnt bother.

I went to Disney Quest twice. The first time it wasn't too bad because it wasn't too crowded, but you do have to wait on lines for the good activities, the second time was so crowded that even the kids got fed up with it. I would suggest if you are staying at a Disney Hotel the arcades are very nice and its not that crowded and the kids could win little prizes. Of course you will have to have some extra money for the games, but I had put aside money for that purpose before I had left home, and for the price of admission for Disney Quest you will save money going to the arcades.

If it is included in your ticket, give it a shot. But it is not worth the price of admission. Understaffed and it just feels kind of dirty and dingy.

i went to the disney quest in chicago, back when it opened up. to be honest it was just one big arcade with disney characters. i didn't feel any disney connection though, there was no spark. i'm not sure if the one in florida is any different. however you might want to go, i heard they're taking it down. so you should go before it goes.

Like most have already said - it's good but only go if it's included in your tickets. The arcade games are free, as is internet access in the cafe, but I don't think it's worth paying extra to go to.

We usually go to fill time during the day or on our last day as we check in with Virgin Atlantic at Downtown Disney [just behind the Cirque du Soleil tent - round the corner from DQ].

It's fun, but oh so confusing. It's so easy to lose people! Make sure you agree on a meeting point!

My family has been twice and we loved it. The virtual reality magic carpet ride was a lot of fun. So was the VR pirate ship. We all loved doing that together. We also enjoyed the rafting with the dinosaurs.

For my husband and I- we had a blast with all of the old 80's arcade games!

I thought it was nice.

My kids (15, 13, 10) went to DQ last August and got bored pretty quick and didn't stay that long. The main problem seemed to be that the more popular rides/attractions/games had huge lines and they were pretty much unable to go on them. In October that might not be the case. If you've never went, then you should go. It may not be the greatest part of WDW for you but you probably won't be completely disappointed either.

This is true. I spent at least 15 minutes going up and down the stairs trying to find my wife. I would agree. If you get it free, go. If not, don't.

We have literally passed by there a few hundred times and have not gone in yet. We wanted to wait for our kids to be a little older, but it may be gone by then. Hopefully it can last another 2-3 years.

I think the Pirates game/ride is worth the price of admission in itself!!! It's fun for us older folks to play all the old-school video games too...
