My report is so large that I can't put it on a thread like I usually do, so here's the website link: http://gchen.freelinuxhost.com/dl50/

Inside, you'll find:

dl5005.jpg

Crowds at Disney's California Adventure!

dl5020.jpg

Golden Ears as far as you can see! And Art Linkletter!

dl5033.jpg

The return to outer space!

dl5038.jpg

Faces of the cool people that frequent these boards!

dl5050.jpg

Desktops! And much, much more!

Heehee! I see me! :D

Wonderful report! Sounds like it was pretty dead over in DCA. We didn't want to risk not being able to get back into DL, so we didn't go over there at all. Plus, we got stuck in a 2-hour line at Space Mountain that used up a lot of the afternoon.

Yay! I was there (technically still am). I had a lot of fun and I think I actually saw a few WDWMagic people.. but I don't know. But, haha, the crowds weren't at DCA for long... by noon almost everything was a walk-on (we had to escape the madness of DL for awhile). The longest wait we had all day would probably be Space Mountain (30 minutes and we did it twice! Best ride ever!) so we were pretty proud of ourselves for that

That was a great report! I wish I could have been there, but alas, I will be there at DLR in September. Is there a way to purchase the 50th Anniversy hat online and the map?

The only way I know of to get those would be through eBay... but I'm sure they'll fetch a pretty penny!

Orange wristbands, representin'! :D

Interesting pictures and report. I flew all the way from florida to get back to my old stomping grounds, and I have to say that DL was awesome. I don't remember ever going to DL and seeing every single ride up and running at the same time (in the past 24 years). It was an awesome experience, I loved getting the free 17th hats, it reminded me of the times back in the 80's when they handed out gifts to certain people as they went through the turnstiles. Thank you DL for a great time, and keeping the magic going.

I remember the prizes. You were able to win free sodas or a bike, dolls, etc...
Does anyone remember the Dream Machine during the 35th anniversary? I thought it was awesome.
