The interview with Bill said they're doing work for the cruise line and D23, so yes they are still working with Disney, just not Disneyland.Uh huh.

That doesn’t really sound like retirement. The interview with Bill said they're doing work for the cruise line and D23, so yes they are still working with Disney, just not Disneyland.
That’s why I said “uh huh.”The interview with Bill said they're doing work for the cruise line and D23, so yes they are still working with Disney, just not Disneyland.
Just strange to use the term "retired" at all in this scenario. Unless they both agreed to voluntarily step back from it since it was too demanding or something. That’s why I said “uh huh.”
I never said they were retiring from work altogether.
Exactly. It’s very clear it was not their decision. They are not retiring.Just strange to use the term "retired" at all in this scenario. Unless they both agreed to voluntarily step back from it since it was too demanding or something.
It just appears to me that they are being replaced.
They’re no longer doing the job. Forced retirement is a thing. It is still a form of retirement, as they will no longer be doing the job.Just strange to use the term "retired" at all in this scenario. Unless they both agreed to voluntarily step back from it since it was too demanding or something.

But apparently they are still working for Disney. They’re no longer doing the job. Forced retirement is a thing. It is still a form of retirement, as they will no longer be doing the job.
They are retired from the role, not the company. But apparently they are still working for Disney.
Is there a problem with saying they were replaced in this role?
Diversity is not limited to race. And no, it doesn’t automatically equate to ageism if an older person is replaced by someone younger. If they were replaced by “younger” voices… isn’t that ageism? If they were replaced by more “diverse” voices isn’t that racism?
Never heard the word used in this way before. They are retired from the role, not the company.
And no, that’s not a problem.
There’s a first time for everything.Never heard the word used in this way before.
