Disneyland Tickets

Hi, I was thinking about buying tickets for Disneyland now to save money (we want to go in 2005). Does the Disney Store carry these tickets? Do they expire? (the WDW ones don't) Also, what all types of tickets do they offer? (Hoppers, Individual, Length of Stay)

Also, how many days is sufficient for the two parks and what times of year are the best to go?

The Disney Store carries all tickets (hoppers included) for DL & DCA. I don't think they expire, I'm not positive.

I'd recommend 3 days for the resort, best time of year would be spring & fall right after labor day for least crowds, winter for best decor.

Thanks, so they do have hoppers for Disneyland, I have heard that CA is very easy to go through in the afternoon.

Well, if I do 2 days and skip the repeat attractions, like Tough to be a Bug, Star Tours, Muppets 3D, Dumbo, etc... (obviously I would not skip the major slightly different counterparts like IASW, HM, and the likes) would 2 days be enough time, or is there really that much to do?

I had considered Christmas so I could see the HM & Small World Christmas, but I want to go to other parks as well (Magic Mountain and Universal come to mind) and was not sure if places that that were open during that time of year, plus I have never been to the West Coast and was thinking Christmas may be a little too overwhelming to try to take in all at once (not to mention the 50th Celebration that will be going on). I know some of this I can and eventually will look up online, but personal advice tends to be the best and you get an interactive twist on question and answers.

Hon I'd take three days. :) Disneyland is hard to do in just one and see everything and if you do 3 days you can even take the "walk in walt's footsteps" tour at DL which is supposed to be amazing. Personally I think DCA you need MORE than an afternoon for ... a whole day if you want to do shows, DEP and all the rides, at least a day and a half for DL. Also they only have 3-day and higher park hoppers for DL/DCA so you might want to keep that in mind as well :).

Thanks, I wouldn't mind three days... then I would have plenty of time to get the most out of this trip (it may be a long time before I'm back on that coast). Oh, I check on DL hoppers... they must be used before 1/5/04 and the remaining days have to be used within 13 days of the first day, so I guess I need to hold off for a while. :(

Disneyland Resort Passports do "expire". They are always valid, but must be upgraded at the time of your visit to current, higher priced tickets, so I don't see this saving you money.
