These are the only pictures I could find, one is a rendering, the other is a scene from the movie based on the book, I am not sure if Poe ever had an official illustration
Thanks Figment Dream! Those are really giving me some good thoughts on what it could look like. Some of those may be a bit too big and castle like, but I'll put a few elements of those into my concept drawing.
Anyway, back to Adventureland:
POTC: This version of the classic ride is a combo between DL's version and WDW's version. It has a qeue line similar to WDW's version and the actual ride is similar to DL's version. The qeue passes through an abandoned fort. The left qeue line goes through the section of the fort where the armory, through a town area of the caribean village, and the fort's meeting rooms. The right qeue goes through the battle area where it passes by cannons, dungeons, and along a rocky cliff. Both end up at the boat landing by the fort, it's night time an dyou see the dark sky above you. You board your boat and cast off into a swampy lagoon where you see people enjoying their meals at the Blue Lagoon Restuaunt under a realistic moon. Palm Trees, Spanish Moss and tropical plants and AA aligators are to the left. Then the boats travel into a tunnel where you see the Skull and Coss Bones talking to you and then you go down the first drop and procede into the "dead men tall no tales" caves, and see the pirates that fought over the gold, the skeleton driving the ship, and into the pirate's caves head quarters and see the cursed treasure. Then after that, you procede into a darkened cave where the Haunted Voices say their usual things, before heading down the second drop and into the Fort Battle. The ride continues as usual, then at the end, you pass the gun fighting pirates up the waterfall back to the fort's boat landing. There are a few references to the Movie in the ride. In the qeue line, you'll see a wanted poster for Captain Jack Sparrow and a warning poster for the Black Pearl.
During the ride, you can see a sign for the J. Brown Black Smith Shop.
Festival of the Lion King:
This show is a combo of the AK version and the Broadway version. The theatre is made to resemble an old African Theater and is similar ( seating wise ) to the AK version. The show has puppets and Costumes similar to the Broadway version, Floats, Tumble Monkies, fire dancers, performers, puppets of some of the characters, and the same songs.
Next I'll continue to Frontierland. :sohappy:
