Ok, I've pretty much finnished my Disney's America thread. It seems that interest was lost in it and I kinda got tired while doing it, so I wanted to start up my own Disneyland resort. We should combine your Disneyland Texas with my Disney's Texas Adventure. Maybe with the land your looking for, the best place may be around Waco or out toward Midland. Waco is south of Dallas/Fort Worth and North of Houston and Austin. Midland is closer to El Paso but has more land.

Hmm... That sounds good. That'd be a good place to put it. It doesn't get too harsh in the winter there, does it? ( I know, that does seem like a dumb question  )

Here's my parade and Fireworks ideas:

Parades:

Disney's Enchanting Dreams Parade

Imaginero ( Electrical Parade )

Fireworks:

Star Magic

I will continue with entertainment, shops and resturaunts later. After that, I will go into plenty of detail for everything.

That sounds good, but I'm going to need help on this. I've read Marc Davis' concept for the ride, and I personally think it needed some tweaking. I'm thinking of making it a dark ride instead of a boat ride like POTC.

Well, accually no its not a dumb question. Today in Dallas I woke up to 20 degree temperatures. It is usually colder in the Panhandle. But then again...its much better than the teens to single digits you probably woke up to. LOL.

I think that might be too cold. The theme park needs warm temperatures to keep open year-round. Comming up next: Shops!

There are HUGE, and by huge, I mean the size of Chicago, pieces of land south of Corpus Christi, within viewing distance of Padre Island that might work. Just my two cents.

For Baltimore Square you could kinda make it a Poe mini-land, have the HM look like the house from "the fall of the house of usher"

For other attractions, you could have one called Baltimore Harbor and have it bee like an Aquatopia but have them be like small fishing boats that you could drive around a harbor that would have scenery reminiscent of "message in a bottle" and "annabell Lee"

And then also you could do something like ride called "a Dream with in a Dream" and have an darkride through the scenes of the classic Poe stories

1. I'm not sure about a Poe minnie land, but there will be a lot of tributes to him in the Haunted Mansion. Could you post a pic of "The Fall of the House Usher?"

2. Sounds good, but I don't think there will be enough space for this.

3. I like this idea, it might work, but I'll have to put some thought into it.

Main Street Detailed Description:

This is the first land you encounter as you enter this magical land. The Train Station right above the Mickey face in the flowers is where you can board a train to 3 other stations around the park. One in Frontierland, Toon Town, and Tomorrowland. During your trip, you pass a diormama of the Grand Canyon with Audio Animatronic animals, then after you stop at the Tomorrowland station, you pass through a Primeval world of Giant Audio Animatronic Dinosaurs ending with seeing a stegasaurus and T-Rex battling on a cliff.

You travel Into main street through tunnels and you pass posters advertising many of the different attractions that await to be dicovered inside the park. On main street, music is everywhere. The main street band comes down the street playing many classic disney tunes while you might want to catch an entertaining performance of the Bucket Birgade Fire Fighters. The Walt Disney Theater plays a broadway musical of the Walt Disney Classic: Mary Poppins. Fresh aromas of cookies and baked goods drift fromt the nearby bakeries. Catch the trolly that travels over a back ally behind Main Street that offerers more shopping.

Take a tour of Main Street on an Omnibus, Horse Drawn Carridge, and many more.

Main Street ends at the hub which is the center of park where you can choose which other land you want to go to. The Statue of Walt and Mickey holding hands and looking to a great big beutiful tomorrow is called "Partners". Every morning, the Fair God Mother from Cinderella officialy opens up Fantaseyland with the Draw Brige Raising ceremony followed by a celebration of Disney characters in front of the Castle. Daily, is the Belle's Surprise Celebration where Belle holds a party in front of the castle with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, and Goofy.

Next, we'll travel the remote regions of Adventureland.:sohappy:

Adventureland Over view

Adventureland is where guests can explore exotic places of the world. Adventureland is divided up into 4 sections: Jungle Outpost, Agrabah, Caribean Plaza, and Africa.

Jungle Outpost:

Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Cursed Gem
Enchanted Tiki Room
Swiss Family Tree House
Jungle Trek
Tiger River Rapids

Caribean Plaza:

POTC

Agrabah:

The Enchanted Adventures of Aladdin

Africa:

Festival of the Lion King

As you enter Adventureland under a gate covered with tribal masks and bamboo, you enter the Jungle Out Post. Set in a dense Jungle setting, you pass bazaars and supply out posts. You can climb up the many steps and explore the many rooms of the Swiss Family Tree House. Or, you can go on a rafting ride over many rapids in a raging rivers while passing animals and go over wet water fall. To stay dryer, you can go on a safari with comical drivers while passing AA animals with some comical nature scenes. Go on an intense off road journey and escape the wrath of the gods with Indiana Jone in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Cursed Gem." If you have an interest in Hawaii, then you'll love the Enchanted Tiki Room with 500 AA birds and a visit from the gods and Lilo and Stitch.

Next, you can chosse between going to the Caribean or the Agrabah Market place. The Agrabah section is the home of alladin. Go on The Enchanted Adventures of Aladdin and ride in Magic Lamps through Aladdin's Adventures. At Agrabah Traders, you have a large array of shopping, and a Special magic lamp in a section of the shop that actually speaks and has conversations with anyone who rubs it. ( similar to PUSH )

At the Caribean Plaza, you get a taste of the Caribean with Caribean architecture and the ruins of an abandoned fortress. Travel deeper into the fortress, and find yourself on a swash bukling adventure of POTC.

The Africa section is at the far side of Adventureland that connects to Frontierland. Here, you can experience the energy of an african tribal celebrational and the magic of broadway with Festival of the Lion King where the Story of the Lion King is presented daily in a large indoor theater.

I will go into more detail of the Attractions soon. BTW, I've canned the Excavator.

Looks really good, imagineer boy! Funny, at one point, I had a concept for a Magic Kingdom in Virginia with a Lion King show, but mine was the Broadway version. Keep working, it looks great!

Thanks Sir! Here's a detailed description of the Tiki Room:

You start out in a waiting area where tiki Hawaiian gods AAs appear and explain their powers. For the finale, the tree god shoots beams of light and energy out of his branches and magicaly opens the doors to the Tiki room. Once inside, the magic tiki room keepers ( CMs ) wave guest into the theater give the spiels, ect. and wake up Jose. They sing the tiki room theme song once the show gets started. Then, the tiki gods get angered and the tiki godess appears in the center in the room. The godess says that she will bring from the future two who will wreak caos upon the room. There for, she brings Lilo and Stitch in magicly. Lilo and Stitch don't wreak havock, but teach the tiki birds the meaning of ohana and sing "Aloha Oui". The tiki gods come back and say that they were wrong and send Lilo and Stitch back and that's where it ends.

During the winter, the tiki room puts on a special holiday show that doesn't include Lilo and Stitch because Stitch appears at AE for a special holiday version AE.

Tiger River Rapids:

This ride is very similar to Kali River Rapids at AK. You get on your river rafts, go up a lift, and travel through drenching rapids and down a large waterfall. YOU WILL GET WET! During your journey, you can spot some AA wild life like Tigers and Elephants.

Jungle Trek: For this exciting Journey, you board jeeps driven by wise-cracking drivers. The jeeps are similar to the ones seen at AK, although the adventure is similar to the Jungle Cruise. The qeue gives you the sence of departing on a great safari. You pass by boxes of supplies AA exotic birds, and somthing very wild seems to be attempting to get out of that cage. A radio provides a broadcast of recent happenings at the Temple of the Cursed Gem. They also report some recent incidents involving the Jungle Trek. Once you board your jeeps, you get a brief glemps of people entering the Temple of the Cursed Crystal. You pass by some hungry tigers, old ancient shrines, and you cross a rickety bridge that starts to collapse under the jeeps weight. You drive through a pool of bathing elephants and nearly get attacked by hippos. You pass by a lost safari that's been taken over by gorrilas. You drive through the african veldt and see Lions feasting over their lates kill. Then you find greedy poaches up a tree getting attacked by an angry Rhino below. The drivers tell funny ( but somtimes corny ) jokes during the whole journey.

Comming up next: Indiana Jones, Aladdin, POTC, and The Lion King!:sohappy:

Sorry for not posting in a while. I've so busy lately. Anyway, here's Indy:

The story is very similar to DL's version. Indy has discovered the temple, and Sallah is having temple tours for the thing. Except, the main difference is that you're seeing the Cursed Gem. The gem can magicly give you unnatural long life. Although, the Gem can be hesitant, if you look deep into the crystal, you'll be sent through the tunnel of torment and into the chambers of doom. The enterance of the attraction is a giant temple ( but not as big as TDS's Indy facade ) with a jeep and snake statues. The qeue has large rooms with murals depicting the Gem. There's a spike room, bat cave, and some similar things to DL's version. There's also a preshow in the qeue with eye on the globe news talking about the temple. You also pass Indy's office. Once you board you jeeps, you go down the Tunnel of gifts, you see statues of snakes holding the sacred Jewel with their giant fangs, it glows, and fires light every where and you go down the Tunnel of Torment where you meet Indy. The rest is basicly the same, except a new part after the snake attack. ( similar to the stunt show ) you see statues holding up axes and they then drop them and you swerve away from them just in time. There's also on-ride photos on this ride.

The Enchanting Adventures of Aladdin:

The Adventure begins in a part of Adventureland that resembles the city of Agrabah. You get in the Qeue line and to an outdoor boarding area. You climb in oversize Magic Lamp ride viecles. You first pass the narrator riding his camel singing "Arabian Nights" while special effects recreate a small sand storm. You then ride into the Agrabah Market Place in see Aladdin being chased by the gaurds. You then travel into the palace where you see Jafar finding the diamond in the rough in his machine thing with Iago. You then go into the open mouth of the cave of wonders and see Aladdin, Abu, and the Magic Carpet being entertained by the genie singing "Friend like me". Guests then find them selves in the clouds and see Aladdin and Jasmine singing "A Whole New World". You then find yourself back at the palace where Aladdin is battling the Jafar Genie while Genie is doing his cheerleading squad for Aladdin. The final scene is aladdin and jasmine flying through the nigh sky of fireworks while the moon starts laughing and then a pepper's ghost effect Genie pops up and says "Made ya look". Before you travel back into the loading area, you see a mural of Genie having all of his bags packed and wearing his Goofy hat, and over it, it says "I'm goin ta Disneyland!"

Coming up, POTC, and The Lion King.

These are the only pictures I could find, one is a rendering, the other is a scene from the movie based on the book, I am not sure if Poe ever had an official illustration
