Saw this on another website, related to the Fiscal 2015 Q3 earnings report that Disney released yesterday.

For the third quarter, which is April-May-June, Disneyland Resort set an all-time high attendance record. And that was even though the Diamond Celebration didn't begin previews until May 15th and officially start until May 22nd.

Here's what Bob Iger said in an email sent out to Disney employees yesterday...
"The excitement for Disneyland's Diamond Celebration has been simply amazing, resulting in the highest attendance for any quarter in the resort's history." -Bob Iger

That's not just an attendance record for that third quarter, but for any quarter of the year in the 60 year history of the Resort.

That tells me the entire Disneyland Resort is firing on all 8 cylinders to pull in the highest attendance in history. Disneyland and DCA combined are really doing great, and anyone who has been to the parks this summer knows that the crowds are huge yet happy.

Touring Plans does a crowd calendar report every week where they basically show what they predicted and what actually happened in terms of attendance. There has been a huge surge since the celebration began. Below is a link to last weeks number.

TP under projected everyday and sometimes by 3 notches. They reported a 10 out of 10 attendance day for a random Monday in July.

TDA has to be very happy so far with the numbers.

I think we will continue to see a large disparity between DL and DCA crowds, however. If Marvel Studios ends up consisting of nothing but meet-n-greets and a coaster clone, it won't draw crowds away from DL like it needs to. DCA needs a couple more heavy hitting marketable E Tickets to become more of a TDS attendance wise. Putting Star Wars Land in DL will not help things either.

It*s because i stopped going to Walt Disney World and now invest my time at Disneyland !
About time it started showing up in their numbers....

:D
I think it's due to PTN IN DL Park(finally DL! finally!)Forever, and WOC-C!

Anyone know how these compare to MSEP 's Farewell numbers? Or a regular DL MSEP Summer?

I think that's only a small part of it. Disneyland is only a small part of tourists' itinerary when they visit Southern California, and as the original park, Disneyland Park is the park they will choose to visit if they can only visit one. And as you alluded to, DCA simply does not have as much to do, so many people park hop to DL afterwards.
