Ok, so what make Hilton and Marriott just a few miles away that they specifically named feel "more safe" than the Harbor ones? They don't have a "security bubble" like the on-property hotels.

I’m not sure. I didn’t experience what they did. But I’d imagine one of the reasons could be your door isn’t facing the parking lot or outside like some of those hotels on Harbor

And that is why I'm saying it sounds more like its about the class of the lodging rather than the location itself, ie it has nothing to do with the "security bubble".

If it’s purely based on class of lodging they wouldn’t have stayed there in the first place.

Umm, the poster never indicated they actually stayed there. Again they just made a broad statement about all the motels on Harbor. For all we know they have never stayed as any of the "motels" across the street, and only stays at "hotels".

Also notice how they haven't responded further to any of the posters inquiries on it not feeling unsafe to others. So it seems fairly clear this is about the class of lodgings and not specifically about the "security bubble".

When I am on vacation I like to feel carefree. I feel like that at Disney properties but not at motels on Harbor. That's not to say they're very dangerous, but you do need to be aware of your surroundings. And yes, I have seen some unsavory activity there at night. I don't think that is a controversial opinion, but I also didn't mean to offend people that feel differently.

Oh ok. I thought they said they would never stay there again or something. Anyway it feels like some are discounting that the security bubble and its onsite hotels are safer than the hotels on Harbor because they are taking the posters comments on the Harbor hotels personally.

I don't think anyone is taking it personally, like I mentioned I think everyone has different comfort levels. We've heard stories of things being slipped past security all the time. Like I said go back to the security thread and you can see these discussions. So safety is all a state of mind anyways, even within the "security bubble".

I think one should always be aware of their surroundings no matter where they are, that is just the modern world we live. Which is probably why those of us that commented as such aren't feeling any less safe being on Harbor.

Yeah lol, plus note their avatar it seems like they are more a WDW regular and used being in the "Disney Bubble" of it being its own city rather than a Disney Park being right in the middle of a busy normal city.

They want the "resort experience" of being able to run around and not see the outside world during their entire vacation. And more power to them if they can swing that.

While the rest of us plebs need to stay at the lower class motels on Harbor to save money and still don't feel any less safe.

lol anyway I think we’ve beat this one to death. I think at this point I’m done with this conversation. It’s getting weird having a full conversation and analysis of someone who is technically “standing in the room.”

Disneyland Resort has announced that starting January 5, 2026, the Early Entry program for guests staying at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort will no longer be available.

Instead, all guests who are checked in and staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels with valid admission and park reservation will receive one Lightning Lane entry for an available Lightning Lane Multi Pass-eligible attraction of their choice to use during their resort stay.

Full details at this link:
This is absurd. Under utilized? Magic hour (30 min) was always busy. That was the number 1 perk to a Disney Hotel. People need to make a big stink about this. Other than the E ticket.High Key, no reason to stay on site with the extreme rates.
