Apparently some have received theirs already, but got the WDW one instead.... weird... :veryconfu
So is that what happened? Two days ago, my sister brought in the mail, and told me I got a Disney DVD, and I jumped up, all excited, thinking it was my Disneyland one, but she handed me a WDW one. I already have two of the new WDW DVD's, and I knew I hadn't ordered a third, so I thought it was strange.

Now I'm angerd.....guess i'll go and try to order another one.

I got mine and just finished watching it. All it is is the same video that shows at the beginning of the WDW Planning DVD. It's about 5 minutes long and if you've seen the WDW DVD then you've already seen this one. Bummer. :(

What?!?!?!?!? Damn it! It's DL's birthday! Not WDW's! DL should get the attention! We don't need the same beginning, and make it only five minuites long unlike WDW's. Shoot!

Well, that sucks. Why even bother putting it on it's own DVD. Heck, why even put it on a DVD when it could easily be put on VHS? My belly is so full of hate right now...

^^Oh, I hope that's not the case. I really wanted a true planning DVD. I basically already know what's at DL anyways, but since I'm heading out there in two months, I wanted something to, you know, dream over. I hope its more than just that clip from WDW's DVD. That was nice for the WDW DVD to have I thought, but I wanted a real DL planning DVD. I ordered it 3 weeks ago today, so I imagine whatever it is should be coming soon.

FYI - I ordered mine on April 5th and it just came today. (Haven't watched it yet)

EDIT: Oops - Nevermind, this is a WDW planning 2 disc DVD

Got mine today....

It was ok, I guess, but I would have loved to see A LOT more (how about showcasing what both parks have to offer instead of the little they're getting for the 50th) than a 9 minute or so film....at least they didn't use stock footage when showing off BLAB though.

Ooh! I just got mine, and watched it immediately. It wasn't bad. It's better then nothing, but I can't believe they didn't show more of the parks and resorts. They showed a lot of WDW though, weird. If I were actually going to Disneyland, that would be a big disapointment.

I do, however, like the narrator guiding you through it, rather than a host.

Don't bother

I expected the Disneyland planning DVD to be at least similar to the WDW planning DVD (since both had the same cover layout) but the actual DVD movie for DL is quite a disappointment. Not only was it only 8 1/2 min long but it said next to nothing specifically about what these parks have to offer. While the majority of the DVD was about the 50th aniv. and what new attractions have been created, they focused on WDW because it is where the majority of the new attractions are heading. I didn't want a DVD about WDW, I wanted to see about DL. Tell me this, does it really seem fair that WDW is getting all of the attention and many more new rides/shows when Disneyland is really the reason we are having this celebration in the first place?

You have to look at it from a bussiness point! We all know that more people visit WDW because it has more to offer. So it makes sence to give WDW all the new stuff. Yes it is Disneylands birthday but it is also The Happiest Celebration on Earth which includes all 11 (soon to be 12 parks) and if WDW is the most visited it is going to have more.

I got mine yesterday. I found it interesting, but painfully short. I also found it incredibly amusing that they use a lot of old footage and footage from other parks for their video montage instead of shooting new footage for it. I wish they would've made a longer video, maybe specific for each park, but whatever.
