Hi Everyone

I am taking a last minute trip to Paris with work and I may slip over to Disneyland if I get the chance.

I have only been to Walt Disney World. I was just wondering what the best things to see and do in Disneyland Paris would be if I am there for a quick visit.
What's different in Disneyland in Paris that is a must do!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated :sohappy:

Definitely check out Pirates you can get a little wet on it. and I really Enjoyed the Haunted House and Space Mountain was good. The castle is incredible and my favorite of all the Disney parks.

At the Disneyland Park, Big Thunder Mountain is great, Space Mountain very good but shakes your head, and Indiana Jones a good little coaster.

If you get to the Studios, Crush's Coaster is a must, and Cinemagique is a personal favourite of mine.

I can only speak from experience from the mid-90's (and can't comment on the Studios park), but yeah definitely go there if you possibly can. Must-do attractions-

Pirates of the Caribbean- blows all the other versions out of the water. Especially if you've only visited Florida's (which if just puny in comparison). Of all the DLP attractions, this one is the best IMO and a must see. It's arguably one of the best Disney attractions i've ever been on. Far longer with more scenes and an extra drop (more thrilling drop too). Story is really well paced now too, and it's overall much better designed.

Phantom Manor- i won't argue it being superior to WDW's, but it's totally unique and has a completely different story with some different scenes. Again, do this one due to the incredible differences. A great ride too! The new story ties into Big Thunder Mountain even.

Big Thunder Mountain- The best version of the coaster in any park. It feels smoother and faster than the others. Overall more thrilling. It even sits on its own island, with the loading and unloading happening on the mainland but the actual ride traveling under the river to get to the main island. Very unique and has some more extensive dark parts than other versions. Highly recommended.

Go on any dark ride at Fantasyland. Since you've never been to any other park besides WDW, Pinocchio will be new to you and is a charming dark ride. All the other dark rides are considerably different and better than their WDW counterparts, which more advanced and elaborate scenes, figures, and special effects. Peter Pan is especially fun IMO. You also might want to try out Small World for the different facade and some new American-centered show scenes. And check out anything else not at WDW (i rode Storybook Canals and even the Casey Jr train).

Space Mountain is totally unique from any other. I've never been on it personally, but it has loops and corkscrews and travels far faster than WDW's. Suffice to say, far more thrilling than others. I've heard it's very fun and well designed, but also uncomfortable to ride.

That's all i can recall at the moment. Most of all, enjoy the most beautiful Magic Kingdom style park. Just walk around and marvel at how gorgeous the place is. Sad to hear it's fallen into some disrepair lately, but it is still pretty i hear.

My husband and I went to DLP last summer for the 1st time (spent 3 days on property) and had a great time. Our favorite attraction in both parks was Crush's Coaster. It has some of the same elements as The Seas with Nemo and Friends and also the Submarine Voyage in DL...but a thrill factor as well. It is a TON of fun and I wish they would open this attraction up in the states.

Other than that - I thought Big Thunder Mountain was amazing...best out of the 3 versions I have ridden. I also loved their version of Small World. I thought Pirates and Phantom Manor were "interesting" ha ha. I only rode them once each so I may not have had a chance to truly appreciate what people rave about. I'm heading back there this summer for a day trip so I'll make sure to check them out again! :p

The one attraction I most likely will NOT do again is Space Mountain. While I thought the theme / sound effects / visual effects, etc. were amazing...the coaster itself was anything but smooth. It rattled my head SO much I had a headache for a few hours after. I even went on again later in the day because I was in denial that it was a disappointment...and it still was! It has such great potential, but it's just impossible to keep your head steady!

Not sure what kind of entertainment they had now, but the daytime parade and stage show we saw last summer were both great. We also ate at some great restaurants (Walt's, Blue Lagoon, and Cafe Mickey.

Enjoy your time!

Count me as another with info from the early/mid 90's...but we stopped in the hotel which is at/over the park gate and had a drink while watching people exiting the park. Do it at night, it's really pretty.

The parade was spectacular compared to the ones here too, the one back then easily beats what you'd see here today.

I posted a long trip report in this section from a 2 1/2 day trip last summer. Lots of info there on similarities and differences between DLP and the US parks. Here's my list of top things for a frequent US-Disney park visitor to see at Disneyland Paris. These things are all better/different than their equivalents in the US, or unique and wonderful attractions have no parallel in the US. They aren't necessarily the best attractions in each park, but rather the ones I think a frequent visitor of US Disney parks would get the most out of. I'll leave the more-detailed explanations to my trip report thread.

Disneyland Parc
Big Thunder Mountain
Space Mountain: Mission 2
Phantom Manor
Sleeping Beauty Castle Walk-through
Adventure Isle
Swiss Family Treehouse
Storybookland
Alice's Curious Labyrinth

Walt Disney Studios Paris
Cinemagique
Animagique
Crush's Coaster
