Im not a big fan, the show is lacking Fireworks and I dont like the show being based on skits from movies, thats one thing I hate about World of Color.

Thats's fine. It isn't a fireworks show.

Having seen it last week, including front row and from Caseys, I have to say its unbelievable. One of those shows that video doesn't do justice to.

Crush Dude!

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!

Try seeing it in person before condemning a show that pales in comparison on video!!

DLP cannot accomodate high pyro and they have done an amazing job and DLP finally has a Nightime spectacular to be proud of!

Ok I will give them a break on the pyrotechnics but as long as the short videos dont make it to a show at the Magic kingdom I'm happy. Thats what we have the parades for.

Err... Most of the castle projections are from WOC. Trust me. It's an amazing show.

And Wishes won't last forever.

Im surprised they didnt Just keep that name, I guess they needed to market something new.
Wishes was very different to what had been before, in infrastructure, presentation and style. Hence the new name.

There again, Epcot has had an IllumiNations since 1988 with each version being an upgraded version of the last.

Anybody know how long Dreams will be at DLP? We might be going back to Paris next year sometime & we'd love to be able to see it if it's still showing.

Apparently until April.

With the money spent on infrastructure I'd be surprised for it to totally stop with no replacement.

Until April and surely long after. It cost around 10 millions euro, so I doubt that I will be played just one year. Steve Davison wanted it to remain identical for one year, and then, be improved

Indeed Dreams will not be deleted, but they can change history and the scene easily, also there is already a scene with the Lion King which was removed at the last moment. There will probably also scenes especially for christmas or halloween.

Thanks for the info, I'm not sure we'll get there before April, but if it's around in some version when we do get there, then that'll be good. We're still in the talking about going to Paris phase right now, no hard plans have been set yet.

Well I saw Dreams again last night. I had a 'bad' spot almost from Discoveryland, but the show was excellent even if not seen directly in front of the castle.

There are few fireworks indeed, but they are used to great effect, with good timing.
But there is so much else! The fireworks are just one of many show features, it's not a poor man's fireworks show. but a rich experience. Water projections, fire, fireworks, castle projections.
And don't forget about the castle itslef, which constantly changes appearance. It's wonderful to see the castle change with the light.

Dreams isn't really lacking for anything. (If anything, than for rehashing the same 'good vs evil villans story Disney seems to use for every show lately)

The infrastructure (my admittedly non-too-technical mind would assume) is also used for other shows. During the day, there is a dancing fountain water ballet to the tune of Small World. It's pretty neat!
