Disneyland Paris Dragon

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum or if the answer is posted somewhere else (I did try to search, with no luck) but I have a trivia question that I was hoping that someone out there could help me with.

Does the dragon under the castle in Disneyland Paris have a name? If so, does anyone know what it is?

Believe it or not, this is something I need for work.

Thanks for all your help.

I talked to the WDI person that did that dragon and it is just a dragon. If anything she said it was Merlins dragon. It is not Mal like a lot of people think.

So I would say no it does not have a name.

Ne Me Mangez Pas Dragon (The Den of the Dragon)....Other sites call it "The Sleeping Dragon". This is the only thing I could find for you...sorry.

The attraction is actually called "La Tanière du dragon", which means the dragon's den. When coming from Fantasyland, it's located on the right side of the castle. You walk inside some sort of cave (inside the castle) and you get to see a chained animatronic dragon, moving and making noises every couple of minutes.
I always thought, since Disneyland Paris' castle is Sleeping Beauty's castle, that the dragon was a reference to Malefic, the witch that turns into a dragon at the end of the movie, when facing Prince Philip. Sleeping Beauty has always been my favorite Disney movie, so I guess that's why I like to think it's a reference to that!

Thanks to everyone for all your quick and thorough responses. I have seen the dragon and it is pretty impressive.

I am kind of surprised that it (he/she?) doesn't have a name and more of a "back story".
