Disneyland Paris - a video guide by martin, part one of three

Here is my mammouth tour of the resort. Its so big I had to split it into 3 to keep the quality; each part is around 1 hour long, 460mb, 640x480, Divx AVI.

A complete look at the resort from a guests point of view - both parks, multi camera ride thrus of nearly all the attractions (and a good look at the others), a look at the layout, design and architecture, parades, shows, each land, how Disneyland Park differs from WDW`s Magic Kingodm and DLC, a look at the Disney Village, the resorts (with a tour of Newport Bay) and transportation. And of course, virtually all set to some gorgeous source quality audio!

It should be available over the next few days (as the servers grab it) - part two coming when there is room on Distro.

Marni, I'm torn. Your DLP video is definitley great for folks who may never get the chance to see DLP, as well as for those who have already been. Since I am going later this year, though, should I watch it now or wait? I don't want to spoil any of that first-sight amazement that comes with a new Disney park (as of now, I've seen only a few pictures of the park), but I'm also very anxious to see it and learn about it. What do you think- you're probably the best judge here. Watch it now or watch it after I go?

Also, are there any Travel Channel specials on DLP?

Well, although I don`t think video can do it justice, I do show a lot of the attractions - catch 22. You can probably imagine far more elaborate HM, BTM, PotC, IASW etc. so I don`t really give the game away as such. But you do see all the rides. Like I said, being there is a totally different thing, chances are you will have forgotten a lot of the vids. I do shoe a lot of maps, aerial footage and layout impressions, which may be of help, but you can get these from the web anyhow.

Before I last went to WDW in 2001 I downloaded as much footage of Reflections of Earth as I could. It looked awesome, made me want to go even more, and didn`t spoil it one bit. You can always use fast forward during the attractions!

Thanks. I'll definitely DL them (if I can get through... it's being DLd and queued left and right on #D-C) and then contemplate how much I want to watch. I'm sure I'll at least take a peek before going.

Ah and I now see that there are 2 Travel Channel specials on DLP. I wish Travel Channel would put all their DIsney specials on DVD!
