Disneyland officially reopening April 30th

I just know Disney has been wanting to remove Lincoln since the early 90s. It is an underperforming attraction in a park full of hit attractions and doesnt promote any toy sales.

The current PC culture will give them the perfect reason to remove it with little to no uproar.
For what it’s worth, Iger is reportedly a big fan of the 64-65 World’s Fair because he attended it as a child. Seriously, it might be the only thing “Walt Disney” that he actually likes. Explains why these attractions have miraculously survived under his rein.

When Chapek takes over completely, who knows.

Chapek was Iger's lap dog, so it will indeed be interesting to see how Chapek runs things as the sole head.

Having said that, I already have very little hope in Bob Chapek's version of Disneyland. Maybe even less than Iger's.

So, I'm looking at the DCA dining list again. No Paradise Garden Grill, Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, or Corn Dog Castle either. No dining in the giant dining area at that end of the park? Really? That seems odd to me. I understand the wanting to cut costs, but I would think at least one of those would be open.

Maybe I'm not realizing what 25-35% capacity looks like.

It's all likely been very assessed by the bean-counters to keep costs (employee and infrastructure) as low as possible while still having enough "stuff" open to make people happy.

As @Disney Irish has said, CA has reached 4 million vaccinations in HPI quartile 1, tier movement has gotten easier

The tier page has updated to show that we now have the updated tier movement requirements updated

In a bit, Newsom is gonna hold a press conference with that speculated "Green Tier" possibly announced today.

Chapek feels more like a puppet than anything else. He‘ll always be turning to Iger for advice. So whatever Iger likes will probably stick around for a good while.

Unless Iger specifically writes “Don’t remove Lincoln, Carousel of Progress, Small World, and the Peoplemover” and frames it on Chapek’s desk, I wouldn’t say we are out of the woods.

It took less time to go from reopening news to complaints about Chapek than I was expecting.

But I was expecting it.
He’s still a puppet, but he’s not responsible for all of the company blunders.

The fans will still solely blame him when Tiana’s Bash & Splash and Guardians Coaster fail to meet the insane expectations, even though both were Iger approved.
