This is an idea of mine for a Disneyland park and resort somewhere in upstate New York, very close to many major cities (Toronto, NYC, Montreal, Boston, Philadelphia). I have a basic layout in mind, but, as the title states, this is an open brainstorming thread.
I think we should start with the classic layout, and work on Main Street first. I want to do something different than the typical turn-of-the-century American town, so I thought of some ideas:
-1920's New York/Chicago (Art Deco, Jazz Age, Elevated Train, Broadway, etc.)
-New England seaport (canneries, wharfs, marinas, colonial architecture)
-1950/60's (Route 66, car culture, googie and road architecture)
-1920/30's Los Angeles (Hollywood, Sunset Boulevard, Mission Revival and Art Deco architecture)
-Victorian San Fransisco (street cars, Victorian architecture, Chinatown)
-any other ideas you can come up with!
