Disneyland New York (Open Brainstorming)

This is an idea of mine for a Disneyland park and resort somewhere in upstate New York, very close to many major cities (Toronto, NYC, Montreal, Boston, Philadelphia). I have a basic layout in mind, but, as the title states, this is an open brainstorming thread.

I think we should start with the classic layout, and work on Main Street first. I want to do something different than the typical turn-of-the-century American town, so I thought of some ideas:

-1920's New York/Chicago (Art Deco, Jazz Age, Elevated Train, Broadway, etc.)
-New England seaport (canneries, wharfs, marinas, colonial architecture)
-1950/60's (Route 66, car culture, googie and road architecture)
-1920/30's Los Angeles (Hollywood, Sunset Boulevard, Mission Revival and Art Deco architecture)
-Victorian San Fransisco (street cars, Victorian architecture, Chinatown)
-any other ideas you can come up with!

I also like the Route 66 idea, however, I don't think Cars rides are a good idea for the opening land. Generally I don't think any rides (besides transportation, like the Main Street Vehicles) really fit in Main Street.

For the ideas that take place near a waterfront, I would love having an actual body of water nearby. I think I'm leaning toward either the 1920's city or the New England seaport, but we could go with any of these ideas.

However, now that I've thought about it, the Route 66 or Los Angeles ideas might not be right for the climate.

Okay, so I think maybe since were in New York, a New York City-themed street might be appropriate. We should start with the shops, restaurants, attractions, etc., of Main Street (maybe a different name if its going to be a big city.) I'll edit this post with my idea for a layout of the park, and you guys can give me feedback. Meanwhile, we should think of some ideas for the dining, shopping and attractions.

For Central Plaza do you have anything in particular planned for that? Because that could a park type atmosphere that includes aspects of Central Park and the rivers of Chicago.

As for New York in the Roaring 20s - here's some things we could base it off of

Maybe even include that trolley?

Or the elevated Chicago subway - maybe to act as the people mover through the land or something like that?

Okay, so far...

-Electric Railway
-Broadway Theater

And here's some new ideas from me:

-Speakeasy bar
-Chinatown restaurant
-Two-story department store
-Central Park-style boats in the Hub moat
All those sound good...though is the Hub going to be big enough for boats? Is it going to be similar to the Plaza Swan Boats?
