During the delopement and construction of DCA, did the monorail still run? Was the monorail moved during construction? How did it use to be, and how is it now, I understand it goes to the Grand Californian.

I believe the monrail runs about the exact way it does today. They ran it during construction, untill one of the beams got damaged by construction then it went to one way operation having one monorial running one direction, then reversing.... They did a similar thing when Millionair's building was built in DCA... oh and the DTD station was the Disneyland Hotel station... same location, just not seems farther with all the stores...

(Took a toll on those monrails, probably causing them to be in the condtion they are today even faster...)

Yep, the monorail ran during construction....Till they had to remove one of the beams near the station and then the monorails ran one way and they had to park one monorail over disneyland drive while the other loaded. (only ran 2 monorails)

It does not stop at the Grand but is still stops at the DL Hotel Only.

currently Mono orange was taken up to Glendale to WDI (last month)to be "reversed enginered" to rebuild the aging fleet. So only two run while one sits in the round house

How many monorails does Disneyland have anyway? I know WDW has 12, and do Paris and Tokyo have monorails?

I believe Disneyland had 4 at one time, one broke, and they took orange apart, leaving two. Tokyo has a monorail--I am unsure if Paris does, but I don't think so.

Paris has no monorail. But the Tokyo monorail is really much better in design than the other ones. Even though the monorail is as ugly as ugly can be, the monorail is fully computer controlled (no pilot) and seat is dramatically increased by having it where you can walk from one end to the opposite while in the monorail.

It is funny though. I remember having a pilot tell me that the Tokyo ones are also Mark Fives but I guess he was wrong. I ride in front and I get a pilot who takes his job too seriouslyto talk.

You aren't kidding about those Tokyo monorails...really nice, but HIDEOUS...I like the Mickey windows, though.
