Yay, we're going to Disneyland! (to be fair, we will first be going to Crater Lake and Yosemite...)

We are arriving September 1st so I can pick up my packet for the Disneyland Half Marathon, then I will run the Half on the eary morning of the 2nd, then our park touring will begin! I am very well aware that this could be a rediculously busy time to visit Disneyland Resort. Not only is there the half marathon going on, but it is also Labor Day weekend(why did they do that?!?) Trying our best to account for crowds, we will be in the parks as such:

Sept 2nd: Disneyland
Sept 3rd (Labor Day): California Adventure
Sept 4th: Disneyland

That is the longest we can stay because at this point our kids will start missing school and we have a 2-day+ drive home up to Oregon. We will stop for 1-2 days at the Redwood National Forest on the way home too.

So what do you think? Are we nuts?? The main reason we would ever visit when the crowds are high over labor day is because I want to run the half marathon. We visited the two days after Christmas in 2010 and the crowds were so thick you could barely make it past the Haunted Mansion/into Fronteirland without shoving someone. It was the worst!!

I am still trying to convince DH that we could just visit his family in California over the 2nd and 3rd, then come back to Disneyland for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th instead. We hate crowds!!
