India makes more sense to me than a second park in China or Australia.
India is on it's way to becoming a huge world economic power by the end of the decade.
But as Corrus said "pure speculation" at this point.

Well Australia seems to be the most interesting prospect... ($$$ wise)
India is on it's way to becoming a huge world economic power by the end of the decade.
And still I doubt if it even WOULD work...
But as Corrus said "pure speculation" at this point.
Right! :D

Hmmm. It just might work.

The Daughter toured several temples while living there, and remarked that they reminded her of WDW. Lots of people waited in long lines in hot, humid, weather; everything was brightly colored; they depicted colorful characters and stories; and all of the tours ended in a gift shop.

This is NOT meant as a slam to the Hindu religion, BTW, and I hope that no one takes offense. I have nothing against a religion where practitioners are encouraged to have a little fun along with proper reverence. One does not preclude the other, IMO. TWIAVBP, and different is not worse, or better, just different.

Well, I've always wondered why Disney never considered building a park in the United Arab Emirates. The UAE is a huge destination for people from all over who go there for the shopping. And the money that the UAE would be willing to spend for a Disney park certainly would make the park attractive. Aside from perhaps becoming an obvious target for terrorists, I can't think of a negative. Other than the over 100 degree heat in the summers!! But it's dry heat!! Could you imagine an Aladdin's castle in the middle of that park??

No offense taken by me Mom.
Infact your story reminded me of when I used to date a Catholic woman (I'm presbyterian or at least that's what my parents tell me  ) and right next to her church was a little place that you could buy crosses, jewelry, etc.
And to me it looked like a gift shop!
Again no offense to any Catholics. It was just my observation.
