Disneyland in June?

So I would LOVE to go to Disneyland and see where everything began. Unfortunately, my boyfriend is terrified of flying, and there is no way I'm driving across the country just to see Disneyland for 3-4 days. I wouldn't want to go without him if he's just going to be here by himself.
But he is thinking of going camping with some friends next month. I hate camping, so I'm thinking of going to DL all by myself for a few days. :sohappy:

I just went to WDW in February... is it too soon to do Disney again? Is that possible?
Is late June/early July a good time to go?
Would the Disneyland Hotel be a good choice for one person? Worth it to spoil myself?
Would I need to rent a car, or is everything pretty close by/is there bus transportation? I would really like to avoid renting a car if at all possible.

No it's not to soon to see Disney again I went WDW in Late Jan. and will be going again in June. There is bus transportation and if you're only going to DL or DCA then you won't need a rental car. If you can afford it then go ahead and spoil yourself and stay at the Dl Hotel but getting a RES. at that time will be difficult. Schools will be out and you will be close to 4th of july which is never a good time see DL or WDW.

But since you will be at DL for a few days just take your time and you will have no problem Have a great trip.

IMHO there's not much difference between Paradise Pier and Disneyland Hotel. They're both basically Hiltons with mickey mouse incorporated into the decor. There are some really nice Good Neighbor Hotels that are also within walking distance to the entrance esplanade, and you'll save a lot of $$. Really, unless you can really splurge and stay at the Grand Californian, it's not worth the money to stay on property.

Late June/July will be crowded, but it's summer so you probably expected that. Definitely avoid it like the plague on the 4th of July.

Like everyone has said, you don't need a car.

I actually love the Disneyland hotel. I always feel a little more magical when I stay on property. The Grand Californian can't be beat if you can afford it.

Having said that however there's some hotels right outside the main gate that are actually a shorter walk then the Disneyland hotel, for about half the price! SO you might want to look into those.

You'll love it!!

Haha I never even considered the crowds! I don't know why that didn't occur to me. Honestly, crowds don't bother me, I prefer to take my time and wander around to find something interesting. And if I'm by myself, it'll probably be even easier.
Anyway, thanks for the advice everyone. I think I'll look into one of the Good Neighbor hotels since it'll just be li'l old me and I'd spend as much time as possible in the parks rather than the hotel. As long as I don't have to drive anywhere, I'll be very happy!

Now let's see if I can get the time off work, haha... :lookaroun
