Never been to DL. Next year will be our first trip. After seeing some videos on youtube with the beautiful waterfalls and koi pond around the resort, we decided that would be our choice. Is it true they took these out?

Gone gone gone. With an amazing outcry of, "Oh the humanity". I haven't personally seen the remodel but the pics of the new areas are very nice. They should be finished with everything by early fall.

That sucks. They looked so beautiful and relaxing. I don't know what to do now. Stay there or go for Grand Calfornian.

The Grand Californian is an absolutely stunning resort, but the Disneyland Hotel will have completed a total overhaul, including the rooms. Tough to decide. The nice thing is that both hotels are close enough to explore both. Its about the distance of the DTD marketplace between the entrances. I liked the waterfalls too, but am waiting to see the replacement elements with an open mind. I'll be there in August.

I like the location of the GC better, but I like the look of the rooms, and the look of the resort of the DL Hotel better. It looks more Disney to me.

The location isn't really that big of a deal, if that's a deciding factor. I could hit a golf ball from entrance to entrance...and I only play putt putt at Disney World. Grand Californian is closer to the Jamba Juice!

Grand Californian has some relaxing outdoor areas that go overlooked...and they smell like Soarin' (go figure).

Disneyland Hotel's pools will be awesome, not sure when they're finished. Looked like they had a lot of work to do when I was there in March. They hotel is beautiful and they do have some amazing Disney history lying about.

Can't go wrong.
