Disneyland Hotel Disounts

We have never been to DL and are planning our first trip for the end of April. 4/17-4/20 to be exact.

Online at Disneyland.com, it shows all applicable discounts expire 4/1. I am not familiar with DL discounts. Is it safe to assume hotel discounts will be extended into April? If so, when do these discounted rates usually post? Is it the same as WDW where if I book a room now, once a promo rate comes out they can apply it to my existing reservation? We want to stay at the Grand Californian.

I was told by a cast member that GC doesn't do discounts but, I was looking for an AP discount.

There was a day when all of the DL hotels did AP discounts...and the prices were much lower to start with of course. I remember staying at the Grand Californian for under $200. My buddy that works front desk at the DL hotel...with his discount, I was still looking at over $200 a night to stay there. Um, no.

They do discounts for set periods of travel times every year usually. Otherwise you can also try something like Costco travel for certain perks. I've used AAA in the past but I'm not sure if they take that anymore.

Oh I hope so, leaving for the Land on Tuesday and at $500./night any discount, even a button, would be welcome!

FWIW I took advantage of the new late spring/summer discount that went live last week and applied it to my existing reservation, saving about $190 a nigh at GC.

I just got an AP offer for 20% off the DLR hotel. So they are out there.
