Explosive Celebration of Summer Nights in New Disneyland Fireworks Show, 'Magical'

Tinker Bell and Dumbo Take to the Skies

ANAHEIM, Calif. (June 12, 2009) – Tinker Bell is helping Disneyland guests celebrate the nights of summer with “Magical,” the new fireworks spectacular presented by Honda. Tink’s sparkling touch will awaken favorite Disney moments and memories from movie classics such as “Pinocchio,” “Mary Poppins” and “Cinderella.” And, in a very special debut, Dumbo proves that elephants can fly as he joins Tinker Bell in a “Magical” flight over Sleeping Beauty Castle.

I mean, was there any closing dialog after the fireworks ended?

Oh ok:), there was, its only part of it though as the video cuts off before the dialog completes, but it starts at 8:31 with "As you go one your way..." then the Suite of Dreams-Fantasy starts to play soundtrack from WDW.

Yes! My favorite show out of the bunch :D Those videos are great, really good quality - hadn't seen them before. They really capture the beautiful lighting as well as the castle projections. I love when they project the flying kites on the Matterhorn!

Halloween Screams a Villainous Surprise in the Skies
2009-it will probably return in 2010

In late Sept 2009, Disneyland would debut yet another new firework show- Halloween Screams a Villainous Surprise in the Skies, using a slightly altered version of Magic Kingdom's Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties Hallowishes soundtrack. Halloween Screams features, an orb "floating" next to the castle with projections of Jack Skellington as well as other Disney Villians, and using the Tinker Bell line, Jack's ghost dog Zero. Projections would also be used on the castle, as well as the video projection on it's a small world and for the first time using the water screens from Fantasmic! as well as a new set of strobe lights on the castle.

Also new this year is “Halloween Screams - A Villainous Surprise in the Skies.” The new fireworks spectacular will haunt the nighttime sky throughout the Halloween season. To start the show, “Master of Scare-omonies” Jack Skellington appears in a flash of fire above Sleeping Beauty Castle. Thanks to Jack’s ghoulish charm, haunting melodies fill the air and a Halloween pyrotechnics extravaganza explodes into the night. Such classic Disney villains as Maleficent, Ursula the Sea Witch and Oogie Boogie join in the “spirit” of the celebration, and even Zero, Jack’s faithful ghost dog, will make an appearance. Spectators in Disneyland are encouraged to participate in a bone-chilling Halloween Scream-Along during the show.

Not done just yet, there still the NYE(I just do 2009), Grad Night Explosion, and Disney's Celebrate America a 4th of July Concert in the Sky.

Going back to Magical for a bit... mrfantasmic at MiceChat had this to say:

This year's iteration of "Magical" benefits from the 9 months of re-working and tweaking that they have had since the show closed last summer.

So it looks like the show may come back slightly different... I hope they don't change too much, but a few improvements are certainly welcome. Maybe they will be adding the round-the-hub fireworks.

Oooh. A tweaked Magical? Don't foresee any new music, but new pyro, yes! :D

yeah, luckily the soundtrack will remain unchanged. I'm hoping we'll see some of the spinning pyro wheels in the castle, and the round-the-hub fireworks that we first saw in RDCT.

I just hope they don't cut the confetti finale
