Just got back with an adult group that had never been to the DLR resort, other than me. We have much time over the years at WDW. Their favorites (We spent all three days talking about the comparison between DLR and WDW):
-Pirates. So much better than WDW that it's like a different ride.
-Disney Animation at DCA (I was totally surprised at what a hit this was. We intended to spend 30 minutes and were there for almost 2 hours.)
-Little Mermaid (Again....really surprised. We rode this over and over, and by the end of the visit I must admit I loved the attraction)
-Food favorites: French Quarter in NOS, Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta. Most disappointing meal: Storytellers Cafe. Ate at California Tratorria (Dinner and WOC seating) and liked but not loved it. This adult family also ate at Goofy's and loved it. Favorite Restaurant Moment: Late evening cocktail at Trader Sams with the band playing. I will do that EVERY trip. It was like we had left CA and landed in Hawaii.
-Indiana Jones (BIG favorite. We rode multiple times)
-Star Tours (I know it's at MGM, but worth mentioning because we hit it over and over due to a desire to see different elements)
-Aladin
-A surprising personal favorite (I'm not sure why) was Silly Symphony Swings. I'm been on many of those things over the years, and for some reason was really caught up in how the music played to you when you were high in the air.
-We all loved World of Color, although there is absolutlely zero story. It's like they sat around and decided on their favorite musical scenes and then mashed them together. The spectacle gets you though. We did a fixed meal and reserved seating package that is really worth it for your first time seeing it.
This is worth mentioning too. We scheduled two days and DL and the third day at DCA. The overriding comment was that we should have scheduled much more time at DCA, or at least done some of it earlier so people could go back when they wished. I hadn't dedicated time to the park in years.......Disney may have really fixed the place. We loved it. And Carsland isnt even open yet.
