Disneyland and the lack of Fastpass - I mean +

WDW guests are frustrated by this new sytem and rightfully so... Does the fact that DLR doesn't have any immediate plans to institute the unpopular system make it a more appealing destination to you?

FP is not relevant to me when discussed with DL. The DL version of MK offers so much more in its small space, coupled with DCA a quick walk across the common area that it's just more enticing at the moment. we went June 2012 and are planning to return June 2015. Probably spend five days. We likely won't return to WDW until after A! is done.

Because of the enormous difference in cost, that is why we are taking all of the neices and nephews to DL in 2015... Its cheaper for us to pay everyone's way in DL than in DW... FP doesn't make it or break it for me.

It is relevant to me and my family. It is one of the reasons we cancelled our annual trip to WDW (14 days staying on-site) this year and are headed to Walt's park. It's not just the FP+, I really feel like we are getting less and they are charging more at WDW. I still love it and we will return, but if DLR is as good as I keep hearing, it won't be for the long summer trip and short fall/ winter trip we have been taking to WDW. My $ spends just as well on the west coast as it does in FL. I don't mind the planning, I live a pretty regulated and well planned life anyway. What I don't like is being a guinea pig for the this new system, or to feel like their profit margin is more important than my family experiencing what once was a magical vacation. FP+ isn't the only reason, but it is the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back.

Went to DL (from Massachusetts) last month. Loved it (weekend crowds and narrow walkways excepted). Loved being able to plan around "classic" FP. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore, much more interesting use of space than in Orlando. Great maintenance. Cars Land was awesome. No regrets bypassing WDW this time around. Was able to stay "inside the bubble" by staying at the Grand Californian.
