demo the entire east side of dl. Nemo, autopia, carousel, pizza planet, space, buzz lightyear and star tours. leave matterhorn. then build a new tomorrowland and fantasy land expansion.
Agree with everything but space mountain losing splash mountain was hard enough don't take that too!

Man it's interesting to see how many of these things played out now that it's been 4 years since this threat started... I guess i'll give my take then since I missed this one and stuff has changed in both parks-
(none of these will probably happen though as the pandemic has severely altered the course of the park's construction and future projects but oh well)

Also, this took me over an hour to do and is very very very long

Disneyland-

Tomorrowland-

There has to be an overall shift in theme with the land. There is no consistency of the theme so they will need to chose something. I don't think a full land demo, with the exception of SPM, would be realistic at this time. I think it would be best to change the space within prexisting attractions/buildings.

For star tours, how about a different simulator. If they don't want to do a simulator, then they would have to demo star traders and a portion of the CM/ maintenance buildings behind ST. However I don't see this happening since the land already has a big E-ticket with SPM. I think a simulator works nicely in tomorrowland. You can do something similar to Adventures thru inner space but in a simulator style. Make a cool backstory and change the queue to be some kind of labratory where you learn that you'll be apart of a science experiment to be shrunk and take to go on a mission to blah blah blah something along those lines.

Keep SPM the same but it needs a refresh. Update the effects within the showbuilding. I think the queue kinda needs an overhaul. Magic Kingdom's queue gets this right, you can look out into space, and not just look into a wall. Keep the soundtrack the same because Giacchino did an amazing job. Also if they could, bring back the original escalator entrance, but move it to where the entrance is right now.

This might be controversial but bring back the people mover. the track and supports work great with the sight lines of the land and adds more character. If they removed it, something would feel missing. So bring back the peoplemover but change the track to not have it go through autopia. Someone in some thread (sorry I forgot where) brought up this idea and it's smart. It'll keep it out of that area (which will be saved for in just a moment).

Buzz is where I'm kinda stumped. The attraction is really fun and guest interaction with the ride is needed in the park. Honestly, I would keep the ride. There is nothing wrong with it. It has a good family friendly IP for a family friendly attraction. Plus it would save money to not demo and create a new attraction.

Move astro orbitor back to the top of the people mover entrance. It creates a huge pinch at the front of the land, where many people enter and exit. You can replace it with a nice atristic piece in the middle of the walkway, but it has to be much smaller than the footprint of the ride.

As for star wars launch bay, I say remove it. I think it would work well if the space were to become a theatre attraction. Or at least, for space purposes, make the second floor a theatre attraction. Since it's right next to space mountain, it would be really cool if they could incorporate a space theme. Similarly to Space 220, there could be multiple elevators or small "space ships" that go into space to a space station (to the second floor). The second floor would be themed to a space station with the preshow area being a space where people can walk around the cabin and interact with certain elements of the ship. Maybe you could help shoot asteriods that are about to hit the station and you can look outside a window to see it all happening. Im not sure what the actual attraction would be, but I'm sure someone creative could figure it out. The first floor could be the gift shop and possibly a table service restaurant. Currently there is only a quick service restaurant and a few snack carts in the land. Maybe make this similar to Space 220?

Fantasyland-
I really like the structure and attractions of the land already. I will leave this more to an expansion of the land.

This is where the removal of Autopia and finding nemo comes in. Oh and also a rerouting of the monorail. The two attractions footprint is bigger than the entire fantasyland itself, apart from the Small world/ Mickeys theatre part. I love the use of trees in autopia, I think it brings a good atmospheric effect to the walkway, so we will stay with a "forest" theme. Now this immediately brings me to the Beauty and the Beast expansion at TDL. I think this would be cost and time effective. This wouldn't be my first choice but, hey I'm kinda trying to make things realistic. If it were up to me though, I wouldn't make it up to one theme. It's either you make it one theme and make a huge e-ticket, or do something similar to the actual fantasyland and have multiple c-d ticket rides. I personally don't like the concept of a big frozen land or BATB land. Why not make it a fantasy forest with alot of the newer movies instead. However to be cost effective, just go with a BATB or frozen land (sorry I'm not that creative).

Lastly, keep the fantasyland theatre. Disneyland still needs sit down shows, and not more huge e-tickets.

Frontierland-
There is absolutely no space in frontierland. Every single inch of that place is being used up... except for a small tree area to the left of BTM where there is a pond and bear's growling. Either it can be kept as a static piece of atmospheric design, or it can be utilized. It's too small to be an e-ticket but could totally be a immersive meet and greet. However the showbuilding can't be seen by the rivers of american so it can't use ALL the space. It could be a really cool walk through of an extention of the mines of BTM. Not sure the exact name but it would be similar to the area of the first left hill of BTM. Kinda like a smaller version of the Calico mine train but a walk through. To be honest, none of this would probably happen. The land will probably remain the same.

Adventureland-
Just when I thought Frontierland was the hardest land the change...
You'd have to demo something but I can't think of anything to demo. Everything is perfect in it's place. It has a family ride (jungle cruice), a big e-ticket (indy), a sit down restaurant (terrace), a quick service ( bengal BBQ), a theatre show (tiki), and a store (adventure outpost). Heck, it even has a walk through attraction (tarzan). If you demo one, you'd just replace it with a different version of its own kind. Replace indy? Replace it with an e-ticket. Replace Tiki? Well the space will really only allow a theatre show. I mean, if you wanted to get unrealistic, you could reroute the jungle cruise and possibly make an extension to Indy for a different indy or adventure type ride. Would that ever happen? no. Is that a stupid idea? yes. Moving on.

New Orleans Square-
Okay can we please fix the bottleneck near the pirates entrance? First off, the queue has to be bigger. If you're looking at the pirates entrance, the queue partly runs along the left side of the building but then stops and swings back around. I'm not sure if that is a maintence area there, but it needs to be demoed and built to be back further. However, the queue splits into two different sides. You can't have one side be significantly longer than the other, people would catch on and never choose that side. For this to work, you'd have to combine both queues together. How do they do that? Well you could have the queue start out on the right side and go up to the bridge level, then swing around the front of the doors to the other side. Maybe they could raise the left side of the queue to be a flat surface instead of the walkway up to that level. Have the queue switchback from the left side and go back into the "maintenance" area. This could be a cool themed space with missing pirates posters, windows and doors with dialogue coming from within, and maybe a crack in the wall to reveal a secret pirates hideout (with no one inside) and it reveals treasure maps and gold. Then have the queue remain mostly the same. If they wanted to add more space, then instead of having the two queue lines that end so people can line up for the vehicle, they could use a switchback. That'll add some more people to the queue. This whole thing means that no fastpass could ever come to Pirates. The rest of the land is pretty good but, maybe fix up the haunted mansion fastpass distribution area. Ik since Maxpass not everyone goes to it, but some people still do. Once individual ride fastpass distribution ends, (like at WDW), they could use the space maybe for a small maintenance shed? But theme it to a huge grave/crypt.

Critter Country-
Well, taking into account the splash mountain retheme... I'd assume the new Princess ad the Frog ride would join New Orleans square (it's only natural). The only place to expand Critter country is to go backwards towards the tram route. however, there is a backstage road that goes directly behind the land. You can't really mess with that road because multiple people take it everyday to get around. They could extend the Pooh show building outward a bit and replace it with a different ride but... why do that. Pooh is a good family d-ticket ride. It fits well with the land and has alot of character/charm to it. Man Disneyland really doesn't have alot of room.

Towntown-
I think the addition of MMRR will be great. TT doesnt need anymore rides... it needs a huge refresh. However I think that is coming when MMRR opens. Repaint the whole land again. Make sure the green mountains are in tip top shape. Can they also finally make use of that really weird space in the back of the land near chip and dales treehouse that's roped off? They it looks gross and they could utilize it. It's kinda small so I'm not sure what though. Either make it into a meet and greet or some snack area. If not that, then at least clean it up. Last time I saw it it was dirty with water all over the ground. It's such a dead area and kills the mood.

Galaxy's Edge-
Alright, we've made it. My change would be to do at least some of the things they promised would be included in the land. Have walk around characters and robots. That's the biggest reason why alot of people were let down with the land, it had no personality. Make Smugglers Run have multiple missions, preferably 4 but most likely it'll be 3. Then make use of the land to the right and upper right of the area. There are three buildings that could be demoed and used for alot of space. I've heard that there were rumors of a coaster going here. I do feel like the land doesn't need more e-tickets, as much as I would love a star wars coaster. First, by Oga's cantina there are these cool facades of doors and buildings. Use one of them as an entrance to the table service restaurant they promised. The building would be behind oga's cantina and wouldn't take up alot of space. Second, if there were to be an expansion, it would have to be first order. use those two huge doors to lead into the land's expansion area. Either, you can have a large scale roller coaster themed to the first order, or an area with two to three c-d tickets.
The land's whole theme though could change. There's been talks of changing it to the sequel trilogy but those are definately on hold for at least a decade. If this were to happen, the biggest change would be ROTR. Rey=luke. Poe=Leia. Finn=Han. Kylo=vader. Hux= Boba Fett. They could change the story to where Boba Fett was tasked by the empire to capture the rebels cruiser to bring to vader. if they wanted to keep the land thematically consistent then they would have to change smugglers run to just be han. Hey or maybe they could just change Hando's dialogue to say that Han is with the rebels right now (rise of the resistance) so he won't be here. That would save alot of money than to create a new animatronic.

I'm so tired right now so I'll do DCA tomorrow. If you've gotten this far then thanks for reading!

Alright, this is it. This is the finale. I'm gonna try to incorporate pictures in this one because I've found that other people do it and it better helps get across my ideas better. I've had more time to think so I'm gonna add a little bit more Disneyland additions. This one might be long so...

DL Additions-

ROTR-

Now this ride is amazing. I went on Sunday of opening weekend. I'll always remember the experience of getting to the parking lot at 6:30am and the line to get in was along the bridge. There was a half hour line to just go to the bathroom on main street and if I remember correctly, BGs were filled within 30ish seconds. I guess thats really slow compared to how fast the BGs are going in DHS right now but oh well. Anyways, while the attraction was amazing I do have some problems. The queue before the preshow, while immersive and detailed, had so much more potential. I love the addition of the seats within the queue, that needs to be in every big disney e-ticket from now on but I digress. The queue could have had doors with dialogue coming from inside of prep teams getting prepared. This is a living resistance base yet where are all the resistance getting prepared to go against a star destroyer. Have alarms go off for flight preps to get to their stations when you get closer to the preshow room. Help build the story. I knew the background of the story when I first went on the ride, but new people won't. You mainly get the story once your in the first preshow room. If you put more tension in the queue and have people get prepared for some sort of attack, that'll get the riders to be more excited. Queues are about setting up a story and building excitement. The rest of the attraction is great, so this is the only addition.

DCA-

Grizzly Peak-

I honestly love this land, it has so much character to it. However it needs some change, so first lets start with Soarin. This is more of my own personal view but I think that the two theatres should be split into the two different films. This will create re-ridability because now there will be basically two separate rides. With two separate rides come two separate queues to increase queue capacity. Separate the queue into two different queues as seen below-
1603939155978.png
The red line would be the California Side and the Blue would be the world side. Now when the queues wrap around the left side of the building, there would be a park rangers building that guests would enter. I feel like the ranger aspect of the land could be explored more. It could be the park rangers headquarters with rooms of desks, papers, environmental facts and flight facts. Something similar to Expedition Everests queue but reimagined to be a ranger station. Now I understand that in order to enter the blue queue, you'd have to pass through the red queue. The red queue would stop with a CM there to tell the guests to cross the walkway and enter the queue. As for fastpass... well instead of there being three lanes in the indoor portion of the queue, we would make the lanes smaller and add a fourth lane on the inside of the regular queue. make one side for world and the other for california. The ride would need a name change so I think just Soarin would suffice. No"over California" and no"around the world", just Soarin.

As for Grizzly Bear rapids, I don't really recall there being many bears. That'll need to change. I suggest you watch this video (if you're that into my post) to follow along. ()
It's hard to get pictures for these so you'll have to use your imagination. In the first cave, there are water wells with colors popped out of them. Put a bear drinking from one of these wells, it doesn't have to be an animatronic, just have a static bear with it's head in one of the wells with a speaker making drinking or licking sounds.
The second change would be to give more decor to the first drop. I like the setup with the rocks but I think it would be cool to put floating trees and branches in the water.
The third change would be in the third tunnel. I like the creaking of the wooden boards but I think it would be neat to hear a bear roar out of one of the boarded up doors within the tunnel.
Fourth, around the 5:20 mark, there is a patch of green grass next to the water thats overlooking the side of the mountain. This is where you could add a small rock formation with a mama bear inside with her bear cubs overlooking the side.
The final change would be at 6:36 behind the water track near the geyser. Put a static bear with a fish in it's mouth.

Now this is the final change. If anyone remembers, I suggested that a section of frontierland be dedicated to a walk through attraction to be similar to the first lift hill of BTM. If that doesn't happen, then I'd suggest to put something similar to that in this area-
1603941216411.png

Except not a western theme, but a small showbuilding cave thats themed to a northern california forest. I have no experience with the environment up there but something similar and bigger to the first cave in Grizzly Bear Rapids.

Hollywood Land-
Man this needs some work. Out of every land at DLR, I like this one the least. First lets start off with stage 17. I like the idea of a building that can be turned into... well whatever. It's a shop right now but its been the building of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, some frozen area that was really cool, and housed various events. It can stay as it is. What can't stay is Monsters inc. It's popularity has gone down and the ride isn't any good. Sure it's better than superstar limo but, it needs to be demoed. Plus, pixar has it's own land so this doesn't fit. Welcome to the new Big Hero 6 Attraction... Or The Great Disney Movie Ride
1603946442305.png

Big Hero Six Attraction- This will be the new big family e-ticket attraction. The red is the entrance while the blue is the new exit that will lead right to a new updated gift shop with a big hero 6 themed quick service that will replace the hollywood lounge. As for the theme of this attraction... no idea. I think it would be really cool to see that new patented technology where the vehicle is swinging from the ceiling. Not sure if y'all remember this but a while back disney patented that kind of ride model and everyone thought it was going to be for the new spiderman ride. So we will make good use of it here in DCA still. DCA has a good intense ride duo (incredicoaster and guardians) and a good family ride (cars) so this will make a good ride in between.
The Great Fantastical Disney Movie Ride-
I posted this idea in the other thread so I'll post it here-
"
1603861093354.png

What about Mickey's Philharmagic + Fantasmic but on steriods? Mickey has accidentally unlocked the Disney continuity door and all the animated disney stories are spilling out. Think of it as all of the most popular disney animated stories all together in the same universe interacting, but with that comes all the villians from their perspective universes. Help Mickey and his newfound friends defeat these villians and send everyone back home!

I'm thinking alot of color splashing around from all the different color palettes of the movies and alot of breaking through walls (screens) to escape to the next room (movie)."

It was meant for a blackbox design but I think it would work cooler in a real attraction. It'll utilize the trackless system and be kinda similar to MMRR. I think it would work much better with the hollywood theme too. Hey will I be considered more for first place for the competition if I make this ride more interesting? lol anyways. The facade could be similar to the Chinese Movie theatre or some big red carpet theatre (ik that MMRR will have a similar facade, so preferably do the Chinese movie theatre). The backstory is that you're going to attend Mickeys brand new movie and you're invited to the premiere! The queue will be hallways of a movie theatre, similar to MMRR's queue at DHS. Once you get on the ride, you see mickey about to start the movie (on a screen of course) and one of his newer animated cartoons starts playing, but there is a little rip in the bottom corner. He tries to fix it pauses the movie (while it is happening) but it rips even more until the entire screen rips. The rip sucks in everyone in the movie, and all the guests into the next room. Im not sure to what Disney movie but basically all the famous disney movies would collide with another and there should be a lot of practical effects to compliment the screens. In one scene I think it would be cool to include Maleficent's dragon head poking itself into the room during a medieval castle showpiece (the animatronic would be really big and a highlight of the ride).
This would also warrant the removal of Philharmagic, so replace it with muppet vision.

The rest of the land is pretty much safe. As much as I personally dislike the Disney junior dance thing, its a great addition for the little ones. Also keep Off the Page, its a neat cool area of the park to look through. Now as for turtle talk with crush Sorcerer's Workshop... turtle talk is so out of place here. I mean I get the whole "animated" theme but maybe an expansion of the sorcerer's workshop?

Avengers Campus
This land isnt even out yet but I have a few points. I really hope that they deliver everything they're promising regarding characters. I really want the big e-ticket to be built from but other threads on this site, it seems like its completely dead... so. I'll come back and update my thoughts once it opens and I experience it.

Cars land
This land is pretty cool. Also, no room for expansion. Similarily to adventureland and frontierland, carsland is completely land locked. The only place where I could see any additions being made is this area-
1603948900352.png

However I have no idea what this building is for and the footprint of it is so narrow that I have no idea what it could be. If it were a ride, then it would be a narrow attraction or one that goes back and forth (left to right) alot.

Pixar Pier
For this I will include Paradise Gardens with Pixar Pier. I really don't like this land. It has less charm than the original Paradise Pier and incredicoaster is a downgrade. But it is what it is so, we'll expand upon it. My biggest addition is a coco ride-
1603949715929.png

The coco ride is in red. Now this is a pretty big piece of land. I'm thinking that we'll make good use of it and build a little subsection of the land to Coco. It would be two levels. The first level would be similar to Epcot's Mexico pavilion, with shops and stores along the sides that will lead to a section of water with some kind of centerpiece of the room (not a temple like in epcot but something from Coco. Now the queue and station would be on the first level with the ride starting by passing across the section of water. The ride system will either be an updated version of the pirates/small world water ride, or use the Shanghai Pirates model. The ride will go behind the big centerpiece where there will be a lift hill that takes it to the second floor. The entire second floor is for the attraction. Not sure what the attraction would be but it would have to be something similar to Frozen at Epcot in terms of theming and intensity. There would be a drop that takes it down to the first floor.

The green portion on the map is a part that I've been looking at for years. What do we put here? It's so dead and gross. I mean I get why nothing is put here. It would cost money to remove some of the Incredicoaster's supports to allow entry to this area and the only way to get there is in a bottleneck area where the incredicoaster's exit and entrance are. Emotional Whirlwind is in a smaller area and could be pulled off so something can be pulled off here too. Something wacky and stupid like all the other flat pier rides.
Something similar to this-
1603950012855.png

Very stupid and carnival like. And yes, this is cedar point. This would never happen though. But if no ride is placed, then maybe just a cool kid area with water? Move the water spinning ball over here, put some benchs and grass patches. Place a call interactive water feature.

As for Paradise Gardens... eh its okay. Not sure what to really do since the area is kinda perfect for what it's themed to. Goofy's sky school is kinda fun and painful. I do have to say that Little Mermaid is kinda out of place here, espcially if it'll be used in the Great Fantastical Disney Movie ride. If that happens then it'll have to be replaced and it'll have to be a kid ride. maybe to save money it could be the same layout and ride system, but a different theme. I'd say Moana because she barely has any representation in the parks, but thats too similar to little mermaid. I'd say Brother bear and move the entrance to be closer to grizzly peak but, the popularity has died down so much. I think the best option would be to put Princess and the Frog there and keep splash mountain the same. I mean the showscenes in the little mermaid ride could be replaced quite well with show scenes from PATF. I mean the New Orleans theme would not work, but hey nor does little mermaid so this gets a pass.

If you got this far, thanks for reading! I hope the addition of pictures was helpful in conveying my ideas.
