I would so wear my Vanellope von Schweetz outfit to Disney but I think I wouldn't be let in with it on :(

Looks like this

You would be let in as the meet and greet for that character is a fur character. I don't think they would have that much an issue with it.

Hmm possibly. I think Vanellope is just a costume character, like a suit rather than an actual person from pics I've seen. I think that's kind of silly - it's easy to make her a face character.

Who is Vanellope von Schweetz?

She is one of the main characters in the Disney film Wreck It Ralph! She is basically one of the main characters of the film and comes from a racing kart game (that is similar to Mario Kart) called Sugar Rush. I won't spoil anything else about her character though! :D

Thanks, My daughter wants to be Vanellope for MNSSHP so I will be checking out the Etsy seller.

No problem! The tights are one size only however - Medium/Large (12-14). Also they are roughly $33 (30$ + 3$ for shipping).

Also, you will have to make her skirt by hand, there are no skirts that are available pre-made. I found the hoodie at Salvation Army and my friend stitche up the collar so it is closed up and cut the cuffs off the sleeves (Vanellope's hoodie doesn't have cuffs).

I don't "get" it - I guess it's creative...but *shrugs* :bored:

It's the latest craze. I've noticed a lot of college age kids doing this at Disneyland lately. Cars Land seems to generate a lot of themed outfits too, inspired by or designed to look similar to the car characters in the movie.

The trick is to not look like a Halloween costume, but to just look subtly like the persona or character vibe you are trying to emulate.

So far all of the pics in this thread are young people doing this at Disneyland and DCA, and that's where I've noticed it recently. I'm sure it will get to the East Coast eventually.

As I posted earlier I agree with Fallen Angel and "don't really get it". But with that said, for me going to Disney World is not about the characters. That is not why I go there, so that would explain it.
