Disney are launching a yearbook for around $25 for a soft cover or $50 for a hard cover and a dvd.

They are asking people to register an interest, presumably so they can get an idea of the demand for it.

If i remember correctly, this is what disney was going to try instead of the quarterly disney magazine (which i miss).

I know this kinda wierd to bring up in here but I just saw that on in the yearbook there will be a sneak peek of Pirates, and I started researching like when it'll come out and I saw the cast and one listed was Geoffrey Rush as Captain Barbossa, but wasn't he killed in the first one?

The new bad guy is Davey Jones. Barbossa could be a "good guy" this time around.

I remember the survey on this too. Guess they're continuing to move forward with it afterall. If done well, it might be neat. If done poorly, it wouldn't stand up to to the test of time. Something done well would be a great "look back" to classics in the parks.

I am glad Geoffrey Rush is in the second one. He was one of the best things in the first movie! Glad to see Stellan Skarsgard is in it as well, he is a teriffic actor.

I miss the Disney magazine very much. Although most magazines in my house get recycled after a few months, the Disney magazines are kept like National Geographics.

With all the Disney enthusiasts out there, how is it that subscriptions were so low they decided to cease publication?

I feel the same way. I still have every magazine since I subscribed. I was so upset when they said they were stopping publication. It was the only magazine that I would open up standing at my mailbox and start reading as I made my way into the house LOL.
