I hope this is the appropriate place to post this. I've been a lurker for nearly a decade but we don't see many video threads on here and it's not really a review in any way so I think this is the most relevant location.

In October I spent 10 days in Disney World and spent all day every day in the parks. I recorded all of the main shows and parades, some multiple times, and have edited them all for youtube. Tomorrow (Friday 10/14/13) they will all be going live through out the day. I have a lot of annotations and descriptions to type so staggering them is usually easier to ensure they are ready when they go up. I think everyone will really enjoy them and I'll post them to this thread as they are ready. The entertainment has always been my favorite part of Disney and my last trip there was 12.5 years ago when I was just 11, so I could remember some of the biggies like Illuminations and Fantasmic! but the rest were brand new for me.

My personal favorite out of the list is Fantasmic. I lucked into already having it scheduled for the 15th before they announced GWTS. We had seats in the top row next to Disney's camera crew so I had a perfect view of all the hats. I then went to the second showing and used a FastPass to get in first and sat front and center for some nice show shots. It created a really nice blend of everything.

Here are the first 2 videos, both from the Welcome Shows. During the time that I was their the railroad was closed for refurbishment so the characters had to simply walk out instead of making a grand entrance.

Sunday October 13th, 2013.

This was my first time attending a Welcome Show so I got their before 8am for the 9am opening. Stayed at the park until 3am so it was a long but enjoyable day.

Wednesday October 16th, 2013.

Even without the train the Welcome Show was my favorite part of the day. Every day seemed better when it started with this followed by a M&G with Alice and the White Rabbit.

Magic Kingdom Welcome Show from Friday October 18th, 2013

This is the third and final welcome show. I did attempt to multi cam edit these but the differences were too noticable. It is incredible though how the show is recorded and fine tuned but the host is free formed yet always right on time. Takes a lot of skill to do that.

I've got a pair of Magic Kingdom Parades next.

Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party

This is one of only 2 shows I only got to see once. I was surprised by it. Had no idea what it was or what to expect, I'm not a dance kind of person but I enjoyed it. It's a very fun and energetic atmosphere and I'm sure a lot of the kids have fun.

Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade

I know Disney recently announced that the parade will be replaced by the Festival of Fantasy Parade, but I thought this one was still solid. I'm going to miss the Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland float though. That group of 4 characters are probably the best Disney has so when they get together it seems extra magical. It'll also be sad to see some of these classic characters take a back seat to the newer ones.

The next batch are the Magic Kingdom's evening light shows.

Main Street Electrical Parade

On October 13th the parade ran twice so I filmed it from each side of the street in front of Cinderella's Castle and edited the angles together to ensure every scene is scene in this complete video of the parade. The second showing was delayed due to "technical difficulties". The 2 differences that I spotted in the second run were a lack of canopy over Cinderella's royal court dancers and the dragon was completely missing. Their is a lot of hate on these boards for the MSEP but I consider it a classic. Disney should introduce new versions every few years but the original MSEP should be running at Disneyland or World at all times, just keep shifting it.

Celebrate The Magic

This was my first time seeing the projection show. I filmed it both showings on the 13th. Since I was positioned for Wishes (middle of the street) for the first time and MSEP (outside of the circle) for the second the two positions don't shift much but the multiple angles allowed me to ensure the clearest and smoothest audio and video through the whole show.

Time for to grant some Wishes

Wishes Nighttime Spectacular

I filmed this on Sunday October 13th while inside the Magic Kingdom (part of my 19.5 hour day). I also had dinner at the California Grill on Wednesday October 16th and filmed from atop the Contemporary Resort. This is a nice edit of the two angles. It is amazing how focused Disney is on perspective. I always knew it about the fake mountains and other park elements but Wishes looks incredible from Main Street USA while from the Contemporary it's all disjointed and weird. It feels very small empty when not viewed from the right angle so seeing the two blended gives a nice perspective on the magic behind the show.

Happy HalloWishes Fireworks

I did not attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, but I did stay at Bay Lake on our first night (10/10/13) and filmed Hallowishes from the Contemporary Resort. I was blown away by the size of amount of fireworks Disney uses in it. This show can not be compared to Wishes on any level as the shear numbers simply do not even come close to each other. Hallowishes uses more firework zones to set them off as well as bigger ones. It is an incredible site and unlike Wishes may actually be nicer from a distance where you can actually see the shear size of it all.

Bonus: 3am Departure

This was an interesting video. I was at the Magic Kingdom from before 8am until closing at 3am. I spent the final hour on Big Thunder Mountain and left it to a completely deserted park. Couldn't pass the opportunity up to record just how empty it was.

Electrical Water Pageant

A vacation classic. We used to always stay at the Fort Wilderness lodge so we would see tho every trip. This time I saw it while over their for the Hoop Dee Doo. Unfortunately it's the only non complete show out of my videos. This is a result of the location, it stopped right in front of the boat pier so I had to move from side to side to film it in order to get the whole thing. Since I did not get it recorded any other time I could not do a multi-cam edit to make it a complete show. It's still a nice piece of nostalgia though.

I don't think I ever noticed that the Main Street Electrical Parade title float was pulled by Casey Jr. I was so awestruck seeing it in person I didn't know where to look. Just watching the video made me notice it, so thanks for the high quality vids!

Time for the biggie.

Fantasmic! (15th Anniversary & Glow With The Show Premiere)

We made lunch reservations at Sci-Fi Dine-In the day reservations were available for the trip. I was the only one with a park hopper so we were locked in with Tuesday October 15th as our Hollywood Studios day months ago. We just got lucky in that it also was later announced as the premiere day for Glow With The Show, and until in the theater I had no idea that it was also (and likely the reason for the GWTS premiere) the 15th anniversary of the show's premiere in Florida. We got seats at the top of the stands in the section to the left of center, right across the isle from where all of Disney's camera crew and executives were setup. Many people have complained about the ears making it difficult to see but with the bleacher seating at Fantasmic! it is perfectly setup and gave a great view from the back where you could enjoy the sea of glowing ears while watching the show. After watching the video I've noticed that at the start their are only a few ears on either end of the stands (outside of the focus section that Disney ran), but by the end their seemed to be a pretty good amount throughout the entire venue. I know they don't walk around selling them, but many people must have gotten up from the show to purchase some after seeing everything in the middle section.

I then used a FastPass to attend the second show that night and sat front and center to get a great view of the show. The two combined I think created a really nice video where you can appreciate the show and the ears.

Glad you mentioned that. Had to google who Casey Jr. was but now I remember. I never would have known their was something special about the train. I always assumed it was just a standard train and a reference to the Magic Kingdom railroad.

Awesome videos. Thanks for posting this.

Thanks for watching!

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth

Another big show I remember from years ago. Was kind of disappointed they no longer had the pre show parade but still enjoyed Illuminations. I recorded this from in between Mexico and Showcase Plaza on Saturday October 12th. I then returned on Monday October 14th after Animal Kingdom had closed while I was on my way to Hollywood Studios and filmed it a second time, this time from the United Kingdom. I've seen a lot of reports of different issues with the show operating properly lately but both shows seemed to go off without any issues and created a nice video.

One more left, it's not a biggie though, just Animal Kingdom's parade.

The 12th and final video.

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade

I caught this parade on Monday October 14th at the Animal Kingdom. I had a spot diagonally across from the area where the parade starts so I had a nice shot as they came around the turn. The parade only takes place once a day and I only visited the park once so this is a single angle video but the complete parade.

Hope everyone enjoys the videos, I had a great time in Disney and love reliving the memories with them. If anyone has questions please ask them, I'll be monitoring the thread.
