Both Disneyland & Walt Disney World are running pretty much the same. It's easier to maintain the Disneyland resort as it's much smaller. Walt Disney World has multiple parks and resorts to maintain. There is also staffing issues and both resorts that impact upkeep as well. It does seem at the moment attention is being shifted also to the international parks, but they have been neglected for a long time. Walt Disney World will always be the money maker for parks and resorts.
