Unless, if you believe the story at an earlier thread, the show was shut down because the permit for the theater building was only for a temporary structure, and the time limit had run out. In that case, they might need to do a complete rebuild and repermitting of the theater before they can reopen it.

I don't know how much credit I can give to the permit thing. Especially since Disney is basically thier own goverment on their property in a round about way.

Perhaps it will open by May?? I hope so, as my class will be travelling there in May. I have been following this since Horizons was torn down. But it is all for the best. I'm sure Disney wouldn't do something to Horizons unless they knew it would be better. Well, judging by the speed at which everything was built, and by the speed that attractions like Primeval Whirl and even the whole of Animal Kingdom was built, maybe it will be up soon...as long as, that is, we don't have another Test Track on our hands.
Does anyone know if this attraction will be more 'complicating' than Test Track? I hear that one of the reasons that TT had to go through so much testing was because of its perplexing complexity. Now since M:S is composed of putting guests in centrifuges, as opposed to TT's putting guests in cars, do you think it will take a long time to test and fix? Let's hope not! Thanks a lot,

Mission: SPACE has an extremely complex ride system; that is why it has already taken three years to build, and is still not open...you can build theme parks in that time...

you might have said the same thing about test track. i'm not saying that i don't think mission space will be opening this summer, but i certainly won't rule out the possability of it having un-expected bugs to be worked out.

That was theoretically the point in giving this ride a three year construction allocation--so that it would have plenty of time for testing, which is what they have been doing for nearly a year now--hopefully, the bugs are all worked out by now:)
