When will people learn... idiots.

Hopefully, they will prosecute fully and substantial jail time is in the future of the drunk driver along with a lifetime of pain from the accident.

Ditto. Too close for both of us. People need to remember cars are a lethal weopon potentially. A tonne of steel and glass with a tank full of flammable liquid travelling at high speed within inches of similar volotile collections.

I agree that drunk drivers should be prosecuted. The report says they suspect, not confirm, that he was drinking. This also happened at 12:30 am; he lost control of his car, swerved and hit another. It could be that he was overtired from work. *shrugs* The entire story has not come out yet.

EDIT: I did not link the story I read as the victims were named and I would not like one of their friends to find out by reading it here.

You're right... may be a little hasty.

However, my sentiments remain for ALL drunk drivers.

Looks like a mixup in road names (http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news...806,0,6236350.story?coll=orl-home-headlines):

One motorist died and another suffered serious injuries when their cars collided head-on on Walt Disney World's road network early today.

Kuang Wu was pronounced dead at the scene of the 12:30 a.m. crash near the intersection of Vista Boulevard and World Drive, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Wu, 60, of Orlando, was driving west on Vista Drive when Phillip Stitzer lost control of his eastbound vehicle and swerved into the westbound lanes striking Wu's vehicle, troopers said.

Stitzer, 24, of Orlando, was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, troopers said.

The crash is under investigation.

...scary thing is I've used that intersection many, many times.... it's the intersection between the road to the Contemporary (past the MK Parking Plaza) and the road to Ft. Wilderness.... Vista is very woodsy -- and very dark at that hour.

Tragic, yes. Criminal, no.

Troopers believe that driver may have been drinking.

DRINKING and DRUNK are not the same thing.

My heart goes out to the families of both men, regardless of the beverage they enjoyed before hitting the road.

Most people do not know whether they are drunk or not if they have been drinking... Anyone that drinks and drives is an idiot.

One Disney employee died and another suffered serious injuries when their cars collided head-on along Walt Disney World's road network early today.

The survivor is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Phillip Stitzer, 24, of Orlando, lost control of his westbound vehicle about 12:30 a.m. on Vista Drive and struck Kuang Wu's westbound vehicle, FHP said.

Wu's car rolled onto its roof and the 60-year-old Orlando resident was pronounced dead at the scene near the World Drive intersection by Reedy Creek Fire District paramedics, FHP said.

Stitzer was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition at this afternoon, said a hospital spokesman.

Criminal charges are pending the outcome of a traffic homicide investigation. Troopers at the crash scene ordered blood to be drawn from Stitzer for drug and alcohol testing after detecting signs of drinking, said FHP spokeswoman Kim Miller.

It could not be learned where and how long Wu and Stitzer had worked at Walt Disney World.

Very sad news. My condolences to the families involved.

I've driven that road hundreds of times. People really fly on that road. Maybe the OC Sheriffs need to spend some more time there.
