Going with an infant and need to keep bottles cold while in the parks. I have an ice pack but no way to freeze it at the Disney hotel. Any suggestion?

If you look on Amazon, they have some small-ish protable-ish freezers you could use in the hotel to freeze stuff.

They have a 10Qt that looks like it would be fairly portable.

This is always a bit tricky. According to the WDW website:
  • Suitcases, bags, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) are not allowed in any theme park or water park. Loose or dry ice is not permitted in these containers. Re-usable ice packs are recommended.
It used to be that the WDW hotels would freeze ice packs if you asked at bell services. I can't say they still do it, but I asked about it over the summer and a CM said they would. It is a bit of pain though.

The WDW hotel room itself said the in-room device was a beverage cooler, but that a fridge could be requested.

Some offsite hotels also offer similar options if you are staying at an offsite hotel.

"Loose ice" is not allowed -- meaning you can't fill you cooler with ice. However, loose ice in ziploc bags *is* allowed as it's not loose within the cooler. There are many, many people who have reported doing this since Disney instituted the "no loose ice" rule a few years ago (which was put in place so that security personnel didn't have to dig through piles of ice to inspect what was in someone's cooler). Security personnel have even confirmed that ice in a ziploc bag is fine as the bags of ice can easily be removed from the cooler if inspection is needed (though with the new walk-through security systems at each park, I haven't really noticed security checking coolers anymore). Our family has personally had zero issues with having ice in ziploc bags this summer and last November. Our DIL had ziploc bags of ice in their bottle bag every day in June. We went through security at least twice every day that trip and she was never stopped. Our daughter has an emergency medication that needs to be kept cool. She also used the ziploc bags of ice for 5 days in November and 8 days in June...again, going through security at least twice a day... and never had an issue. Neither one was ever even stopped to have their bag searched.

I have not brought ice through, so I couldn't say. We have sometimes been stopped for extra screening. It seems a little random. Like same day we went to MK, then hopped to HS and only got extra screening at one of the two parks. That is good to know though if we ever need ice in the parks. We mostly just try to keep stuff cold when transferring between hotels, and ice packs aren't great for that. We do however try to keep some water/soda cans on hand, just to use as makeshift cold packs.

If you see us in the airport, we might be the ones drinking a can of soda or giving them away. Usually people are happy to have some extra water or soda.

We bring a small medical travel cooler with ice packs inside and have had no issues at the park. Security usually wants to see what's in it, and when I open it and they see, they wave us through.

How do you get them cold every night?

I agree that the ice cubes from the ice machine, placed in double zip loc bags, then placed in an insulated container, is the way to bring the bottles in. You might even be able to get additional ice from a restaurant during the day.

Get powdered formula and just buy bottled water when you need to mix some when you need it. If you are breast feeding them just breast feed when needed, not sure why you would need to keep bottles cold.

We've been able to without concern.
