I saw a post on Reddit today that some folks were apparently sent to the monorails to get to MK before the 10k. I arrived at Epcot today at 3:45 and was still directed to the buses, so I’m not sure if that was just the contingency plan for late arrivals or something they’ve done if they’ve had a shortage of charter bus availability this year. Did anyone here experience that today?

EDIT: apparently they were sending people that parked in Discover toward the monorails (at least according to the person I asked that got to Epcot about 3:30), I parked in Create and was sent toward the buses.

The moral of the story, if you prefer buses and a shorter walk, stay to the left lanes after the toll booths and try to get to the Create lot if they are parking people in both! 😁

I heard runners taking about that while waiting to get my photo. Our bus left at 2:35 AM and headed strait for the staging area, rather than WL and the Contemporary. So I got there at 2:50. A long, cold wait to start.

If you click on the drop down menu on rD's home page, you'll see Results.

This is what you get. You need to put in your bib number when required.

If it weren’t for my 4-5 pit stops, I might’ve been there with you (either I need a remedial lesson in race hydration or turning 40 has done a number on me, haha!).

Finished comfortably in the top 2000 with a 2:18:05 time. About ten minutes more than my PR, but it is a Disney Half Marathon record for me, so I’ll gladly take it!

@LAKid53 - I don’t think you need a reservation after 2PM in any of the parks, but shouldn’t need one either way for the special ticketed event.

Are we still doing a meet up? Anybody have a good idea of when/where? I’m getting some work done this afternoon, so probably not heading toward until Epcot at 6 or 7, but am up for whatever after that!

I HAD to stop 3 times. It was both the water and Powerade at every hydration table. And yes, it's age, too. 😉



I was planning on going over around 7:00 PM. Need a nap. And that ice cream in the freezer is calling my name. 😁

Would people want to meet up once the party starts at 9:30? That way all the regular guests will have departed. Maybe the steps at Mexico? That cucumber margarita is on my list.

PS - wear your jacket. The runner in line in front of me to get her photo was wearing hers.

9:30 at Mexico sounds good to me, will have to make a decision on whether to wear the jacket, the sleeves are a wee bit short for my arms 😁

Christ almighty, that was a cold wait in the corrals this morning! Made for really beautiful running weather though, couldn't have asked for more.

I took this one slower than usual on purpose, as I'm not back to well-trained yet and dealing with a lingering foot injury. Plus I stopped for pictures.

My time was 2:22:58, good for the top 35ish% of males and 25ish% overall.

Looking forward to Princess!

Congrats everyone!! By some miracle, I am feeling almost back to normal and was able to complete the half and keep my streak going. The flashing lights on Bear Island and rising sun on Osceola didn’t help my lingering dizziness, but I tried to run it conservatively and carefully. Made it in 3:01 - so close to a sub 3:00! I was so excited to finish, I almost started crying when I crossed the line.

I hope everyone has a wonderful time at the party tonight!
