Disney whirlwind, four parks in a day

It always depends on who I'm with. If it's mostly friends, family or relatives that are 30 below then we park hop everyday but if we're with people who are in the elderly side or people who are generally grumpy and complains a lot then we just adjust to them and stay at one park.

Since age has been brought up, I am in my mid fifties and have a bum knee. Although when at Disney I log more miles than any other time, wear good shoes and use body glide to avoid blisters. With the gondola we were less than 20 minutes transferring from DHS to EPCOT and we were around 20 minutes using the monorail from EPCOT to MK. We did lose a little time going to AK, that was closer to 40 minutes. At least it was good rest in the AC also very few people on the buss in the afternoon. It might be more effort than some want but I don't think I wasted too much time.

I agree with ppet. We're on the bus back to the resort now. It was a full day, with a small nap in the middle. All 4 parks in one day. May not do it again, but it was a blast.

Aye, rope drop to fireworks!
Well before our little guy yes........16 hour days on some trips. Back when WDW was open to 3am on magic hours.
Now that we have a little guy, we break for a looooong lunch and nap and come back around 5ish. If we are lucky, we stay for the works.
Can't wait to do those long days again :) Really

I've done it once. AK in the morning for breakfast, did Dinosaur and EE. Went to MK and did Buzz, SM, CoP, TTA, BTM, and Splash. Monorail to Epcot to do Soarin', TT, Imagination, Maelstrom, and Mexico. Walked over to DHS for ToT, RnRC, and ST. Oh and back over to Epcot for SSE and Illuminations to finish the day.

This would've been nearly 10 years ago. No FPs and a lot of dumb luck with crowds that day. I think we waited a tops of 30 mins by some miracle.

Just wondering if anyone else enjoys doing this. For me it's generally the last day of a longer trip, when we try to go to each park and ride at least one ride, generally a few more. Last trip we had a fast pass for Slinky early then we took the skyway to EPCOT and rode SSE. We then took the monorail to MK and rode PotC and HM. Had my last dole whip of the trip while walking to Contemporary. We then caught a buss to AK to ride the safari. We were back at the resort and in our car tearfully leaving by 5. I might be crazy but this seems like a good way to end a trip. Let me know what you think or how you end your trips.
The problem with this is the time lost travelling between parks. However, as with the Monorail/Skyway, that is part of the experience so are you losing time? However, the bus,,, ack,, that is not a good part of the experience.

On our 4 park in 1 day excursion a couple days ago, we used boats, monorail, and buses. Yeah, the buses aren't exactly a royal carriage, but it's a welcome, climate-controlled relief from walking around in the heat. You get out of it what you're looking for I guess.

These days the time on the buss is for charging cell phones if you are lucky.
