Disney Visa Rewards Card

I know this subject has been addressed multiple times, but I've searched and simply can't find the answer to this question...

How long does it take to get your rewards card once you order it from Visa, and how long in advance should I get it? Or would it be better to just do it at WDW when we get there? Our first trip is coming up in 53 days and while we don't have huge amounts racked up, I'd like to be able to use what we do have!

Go ahead and call today! This past December I called right before Christmas and still got it within one week.....we were not leaving til February but you can call when your next statement comes if one still cuts off....even if you don't physically have it yet....and they will transfer any newly aquried points to that card same day. It's a good thing.....:king:

They tell you it'll arrive within 2 weeks.

Yep its been covered before, but you would have to really search. :lol:

They tell you it takes 2 weeks, but we had ours (our second) in just over a week. You can reload it yourself on the net until it expires. :wave:

Order it in advance like now and if you earn additional points between now and the time you leave you can go right on line and transfer them to the existing card and it transfers immediately. I don't remember how long it took to get the card but we additional points the day before we left and I transfered them to the card that day.

Yep. Just go register your account online and you can access your Rewards Dollars and see what the current offers are. You could, of course, pay online too and sign up to be reminded when your payment is due and when it posts.

Hey Tigsmom how was your lrecent lodging?! Pool still shut? I pay my chase card directly from my online banking...as I use it soooooooooooo much to max out those points! Good idea to check the offers....never know when they might introduce something new!

The WL was wonderful, as usual. We couldn't get our favorite room because they still had the scaffolding up and yep, the pool was still closed. We asked about it and nobody had any idea when it would be done. We didn't feel like swimming anyway. :lol:

I see everyone has this topic pretty well covered. But, just to add a bit. I usually load mine up a couple days before departure with any points I have accumulated at that time. If you have to order a new card, get it now don't wait. They will load it up with what points you have now & you can add any more you accumulate later. Very cool .

I think you also have to transfer at least 20 points to the card when it is the initial transfer.
