Disney Visa question

For those of you who have Disney Visa's how much $$ in reward dollars have you accumulated by using your card? I was just thinking that if I use my card for EVERYTHING (groceries, house payments, car payments, utilities etc) that I could possibly have almost and extra $500 saved before we go on our trip! Can you use your Disney Visa for things like house payments, car payments and utilities? I write my checks monthly for these things anyways, I may as well just use my card, save lots of stamps and just pay the credit card off every two weeks or so, so that no finance charges get applied.

I use it for everything an pay it off monthly. We don't go to Disney regularly, so I've got about $1,000 in Disney rewards saved up.

Whenever we do go, our trip will be practically paid for.

If anyone is interested -

I was calling Disney to activate my new card (old one expired) and asked about the 2x and 3x point offers. I was told that there was a monthly threshhold ammount that you have to spend on certain purchases (gas, groceries, etc) before you are given one of those offers. The woman I spoke with said she would put in a request to have information on the threshhold ammounts sent to me. If/when I get the information I'll let you guys know. (But if anyone already has the information please share)

I just gone one of the offers -- 5x the points for April, May, and June. You had to spend over $900 first before you started to get the bonus points, and it had to be $900 on airfare, gas, and groceries. I have gotten offers in the past when the threshold was as low as $700.

I just received that same offer. The $900 is for each month. So the dollars are 5x everything over that, and then it begins again the next month.

We might spend about that much on gas and groceries together (family of 6), but not more. Also, we shop at Wal-mart and SuperTarget - the fine print says that those types of stores don't count.

One more point - when you receive those offers - you usually have to call and sign-up for the program.
