Disney Visa Perks

Has anyone done the free magic shot in Epcot recently using your Disney Visa? I’m curious what it looks like.
Also, I thought you used to get 10% off purchases in the bigger gift shoppes like the Emporium and World of Disney. But they aren’t on the list on the website 🤔 Do they not offer the discount anymore?

We didnt go in for the free shot this trip so IDK how it looks.
On your other question. Yes... They did give us the purchase discount but most the CM's ringing us in automatically included it, other times I had to bring it to their attention. To be sure I got the discount I started mentioning it when I went to the counter to check out.

The merchandise discount with the Disney Visa is 10% off 50% or more. You must request the discount and pay with the actual Disney Visa Card. The discount is not available if you use Mobile Checkout at any of the locations where that is offered.

If you have an AP or are an eligible DVC Member, the merchandise discounts with either of those are better.

Full Disclosure, kind of read your specific request regarding "Epcot" wrong at first, and started to type out for HS, so I'll leave it too.

This is my experience in Covid times. I'm not aware of them bringing any characters back in, honestly don't think the rooms are big enough for distancing.

For Epcot (last in Sept 2021), you just go into the place, and they have you pose in front of the different walls (most of which are usually just queue areas) taking a few pictures at each. They throw in a magic shot on the last wall (which is the normal picture area). As this one is inside, Masks were still required.

Last did it (IIRC) fall 2020, so I'm not 100% sure if it changed, but HS shots were Star Wars Magic shots. They had 2 different types, and had you do specific poses and then the characters were added in. 1 was Storm Troopers; and 1 was K-2S0. I'm not sure if masks are required now b/c it was technically outside (the wall on the back side of the launch bay), but when we were there, they were still required everywhere, hence these pictures I'm wearing one...

Unfortunately I can't speak to the store discount since I have an AP so that's the discount I use. When Disney stores were still open, it still worked there; but IIRC there was a minimum purchase threshold. $50 I think. (just looked at the DVR benefits site, doesn't say specific stores, but it still lists it)

Thanks everyone. I will definitely ask about the 10% discount. Hoping to do all my shopping in one store so I will definitely spend the required $50.

Thanks for sharing the magic shots. I didn’t realize you still had to wear your mask for the photo (makes sense since it’s inside I guess) so I’ll probably skip that.
