Disney Visa Card

I just applied for the Disney Visa Card. My question is: How does it work when using earned points for booking a trip. We will probably not be going to WDW for three years:( , and should have plenty of points racked up. Can you use them towards the entire package and maybe be able to stay in a higher priced hotel(deluxe) rather than a value? Just curious, I have plenty of time to dream of our next trip!(last trip was May/June 2006) Thanks.:animwink:

When you get ready to go on your trip, one month ahead, call or go online and your reward points will be put on a card for you. Then, when you travel, use it just like a gift card--spend it all on your room, use it for meals and have it deducted a little at a time, or however you want to spend it. Just be sure to leave plenty of time to get your card before you travel. Once you have the card, keep it and then you can transfer your points to it for a later trip. You can save a good bit of points on it--in less than a year, we are almost up to $200 on it.

Just to add, you can also use your Disney Visa card to purchase certain Disney packages and be eligible for no interest (and get the Reward Dollars for the purchase!). Check the current Disney Offers on your account summary page to see what is available. There are deals for you at WDW, DL,DCL, Entertainment, and others. Check them often!

Just to add to that, it's actually no interest for 6 months...not just no interest ever. What I found interesting as well if that if you make payments towards the trip, each payment has a 6 month no interest period...it's not just 6 months from the time you book.
