Can someone tell me how this work please. How points accumulate and when you want to order your points how that works. Do they send a "gift card" for your points that you order?
Thanks

Points are accumulated based on 1% of your purchases. So for every $100 charged, you earn $1 in rewards "points". You can either call to request a gift card or you can do it online. Once you have a card, you can tranfer points from your account to the card at any time (must have a minimum of $10 to transfer).

Occaisonally, Chase will offer random "5X" rewards offers, usually for a 3 month period. Right now we have one for October, November, and December. Our threshold is $750, meaning once we reach that amount in eligible categories (gas, dining, airfare and groceries) anything above that will accumulate reward points at 5% instead of 1%.

After points are transfered and you use all the $$ do you just keep refilling the card when you earn more points or do you need to order a new one?

The gift card will have an expiration date. You can reload the card until it expires, then request a new one. Just be careful; any points transferred to a card that are not used before the card expires are lost.

You might want to call and get your points about 30 days prior to your next WDW trip.
Then when you check in show them the rewards card and have them apply the points to your room as a credit.

Keep in mind, once you have a card, you can call Visa and have more points transferred immediately. We just got back from the World and initially started with $200 on our Rewards card (which I ordered from Visa about 6 weeks before our vacation). I was in line to make a purchase at a park store and realilzed I didn't have enough on my card to make the purchase. I called the 800# on the back of the Rewards card and had another $50 transferred. It was on the card by the time I reached the register. Put a minimum amount on to start, and if necessary, transfer dollars, as long as you have at least $10 to transfer, during your vacation. It's a very convenient and smooth system. We also used the cards at all snack locations, even the kiosks as the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot.

I love having "free money" to spend on vacation. :sohappy:

Disney Visa

As stated before, they are running a promotion for 5x points for gas, dining, airfare and groceries.

We booked our disney vacation package including airfare. On the credit card this charge is only one charge and it is in the lodging type category, I beleive. Has anyone had any success in breaking part of this into an airfare category to get the 5x points??

We used the cards in July. We had 2 cards, one for each of our girls. They loved it. They just whipped out their Visa card and paid. It was so nice not to be bugged for money. I also called and added more to one of the cards for a diner out. You can only have 2 cards going at once. One girl was out of money by day 3 and the other waited till the last day and had a shopping spree at Downtown Disney. I put everything on my card and pay the balance each month. I know a guy that has his mortgage on it. Hey it's 1%

I need someone to tell me how to pay the mortgage with a credit card. Everything I've seen would make that sort of payment a "cash advance", which is excluded from cash back programs on cards. Paying the mortgage that way is like the holy grail of the cash back program...
